Craigslist has a monopoly on the Internet classified market. The fact is they drove some newspapers completely out of business. Ghosting is unfair to the average working man and woman (teachers, lawyers, mechanics, students, etc) who are not e-marketers. Monopolies are always dangerous.

People should band together and then get a good Internet attorney and get a judge to issue CL a COURT ORDER to stop ghosting ads. I speak on behalf of people like me who are ghosted for posting a sole, random ad but do not use CL for marketing or earn a living from marketing. Maybe people could use Facebook to get the court order ball rolling.

Hi Jason may i ask what can i do if i've been ghosted on cl already, now no matter how many emails i use all my accounts ask for been verified so when i enter different phone numbers i never receive the call so now i can't still posting. Jason, you've done an excellent job in explaining the step by step approach to post on CL. I signed up for private proxy, uploaded files to tinypic, verified account etc. In the end though it didn't work. The image did not materialize on the site, the yellow fonts showed up in black, so was a little disappointed not with you but I believe CL has just made it harder. If you get a chance to review the system and see if it currently works. Also if you could just verify that your systems works.
