@midgetrocker36 I have a copy of the strat and tele. Both of them hold their tune and are better intonated than my MIM.
A little hint here. Fender, when it saw these things selling as well as they are, have come out and said that next year they are putting them in the Fender line, and that means a huge price increase.
Damn, brother. You can play. I just bought the body and electronics for one of these, gonna hot rod it with an American Tele neck I have... Thanks for the demo.
am going to be putting a deposit to order one of these bad boys later today.this will be my first proper tele (with single coils ;-) i blame you sir for swaying me to buying one (damn you and that spoonman riff ;-) great playing by the way and merry christmas (whatever christmas is bah humbug ;-)
@LordMarcusBrighton There are some differences, the Squier has a slimmer neck profile, different pickups and body woods. The Mex Tele has Fender standard Tele p'ups a slightly thicker neck and an alder body.
The only thing wrong with those guitars is the neck. It's too thin and too flat... especially since it's supposed to be a 50s style Tele. (and the pickups are slightly shitty)
I bought the vintage blonde a couple of months back and i love it.. the clean tone is just awesome and some experts also say that this guitars are even better than the fender MIM series \m/
wow! spoonman sounds perfect! i didn't expect spanish inquisition... i mean these pickups are single coil! and this is a squier! i'm going to reconsider selling my wildkat. ;)
@dankosoul. The Vintage Blondes have Alico 3 pickups (little hotter). The Butterscotch Blondes have Alnico 5's (little sweeter, not as much bite). I really really love my Vintage Blonde.
@tripodx69 What you said about the pickup magnets is backward. Alnico 3s are warmer and more mellow (Alnico 2s, even more so) Alnico 5s are quite bright (not ceramic bright) but much brighter than Alnico II & III versions of the same pickup.
@MyTutorialFilms This guitar can play all of those styles. It's mainly down to if you prefer the sound of humbuckers in the J5 or the single coils in the Classic Vibe Tele.
@MyTutorialFilms Sweet. Thanks very much dude. I only used an MXR Carbon Copy Analog Delay pedal in this video. All drive tones were from the Egnater.

I want this guitar real bad. I already have the 50's vibe strat. Which is my main guitar now. I used to have a 52 reissue. I sold it. I love the new squier series. These are incredibly well made guitars. They sound fantastic.
Just got mine today thanks to your demo! thx a lot!

hey, does it keep in tune well? thinking of saving for one of these
midgetrocker36 2 months ago
@midgetrocker36 It stays in tune very well, and if you want to upgrade the tuners, that is a fairly inexpensive thing to do. :)

@dankosoul I don't think there's much difference, just down to the finish on the body. It has the same components.
