Actually I like having braces lol!! I wana keep them haha. Erm I heard they snap off easily but the drilling the glue off.. well sanding down cleaning part, isn't nice...but anyway it's like end of the drama almost. I had an amazing result, it turned out better than i imagined. no side effects either. wouldn't do that op again though omg!!

Hia, I had it done for free on the NHS as it was considered severe. I do know that in America insurance can sometimes cover it. I don't know where you are from though. Sorry I couldn't be more help!

@catkershaw1 Ohh i'm from the UK too, thanks alot i'll try and get hold of the NHS through my Dentist. I did however have braces a couple years ago and they didn't seem to do the trick :/ Do you have any advice? Should i maybe get the braces again?

If you are a grown adult and your overbite is skeletal and not dental (i.e the jaws are not the correct size and it's not just your teeth sticking out) then you will probably need surgery but I'm not an expert so your dentist will be able to send you to a specialist who can help you. I hope you get the answers you need :) You will have to get braces again to have the surgery anyway though, they put them on for about 18 months before. Hope that helps!
