In addition to my previous comment the bounce was not at all unkind. In fact the ball bounced perfectly for him to run on but the gumpy fuck just tripped over. His eyes must have lit up and he assumed he could run in as easy as you like and kick a goal. How sadly mistaken he was.
@chappojnr17 He has been a 6 time all Australian, selected as a fullback, a midfielder and a full-forward. Freo leading goalkicker for the past 6 seasons. It wasn't the bounce that was unkind, it was the Etihad surface.
Also you have to remember he's past his glory days. His last All-Australian selection was in 2008, 3 seasons ago. There are also very few players (maybe dustin fletcher and alan didak) who can comfortable score goals from outside 60 m.

The fact is he carried freo for the best part of a decade, and never achieved as much either at and individual or a team level as he could have if he had moved clubs
