I only disagree in saying we do not need complex mathematics. I believe children should be exposed to this type of math since they may decide to use this type of math to develop computer programs and design cutting edge ideas etc.

I do agree with EVERYTHING he said besides that. We homeschooled our son and he is a very intellectual, outgoing man of 20 years.

Our educational system needs to catch up with what the home schooling community has learned about education.

No BOOS here! He's correct. I have met very few people who actuallu use the highschool math. Why do you think so many parents can NOT help with highschool homework? Because we haven't USED it in 20 yrs!

he's correct! in the majority of businesses that are run today you do not need complex mathematics. however, if you do plan on being a scientist you have to learn it. they really should gear intense mathematics toward kids that are actually capable and are going to use it is future career fields. otherwise it is a complete waste of time.
