I had to gerils, but one of them died, so now i got one left. but the one i got left eats the hole in my plexiglass bigger, and he jumps on to his waterbottle and escapes, one day he was gone for three days, he manage to feed himself on the cat food 0.o Wtf :P my cat is like `THE wildest hunter :P

The only real smelly rodents to have as pets are hamsters, rats aren't so bad. Gerbils drink less water so they produce less urine, but I just have the one so there's no funk

Gerbils are very funny, clever and acrobatic. I used to have 3 of em years ago. It takes a bit of efford to make them tame, pick them up a lot and such. Avoid grabbing them, especially from above since they might confuse you for a bird of prey or something...it scares them. rather have them sit on your hand at free will instead. They will bite sometimes but thats often not more then a little pinch they rarily bite trough .. I've never been bitten myself.
