  • A masterpiece from Goddess.....

  • After watching both the videos, it is stunningly expressive, exceptional tonal quality of the Instrument and optly represented in the videos which makes every one who watches and listens have wonderful feeling of being mesmerized and soothing mesmerizingly relaxing effect on the mind.

No wonder, in this country US, people are trying the soothing sounds of this Instruments to treat stress and other related effects on Humans and it has not comeout yet the results.

  • THANKS A LOT, UPLOADER OF THIS VID. THE CONCEPT BEHIND - WITH CHILD KRISHNA BEING FONDLED IN THE BACKGROUND - AND GREAT GAAYATHRI EXUDING A SERENE BUDDHISTIC SMILE IS REALLY GREAT. THANKS ONCE AGAIN. I shall buy a DVD of this.

  • 3. ..when the violinist is less than competent. The Veena, btw, is learnt to have been, for ages, a self-accompanying insrument for vocal music, but today it is used mostly as a coverup tool for bad voice of an otherwise good musician. Veena and flute enjoyed elevated status as divine Vaadyas esentially intended for Sva Anubhava or self expression or enjoyment of spiritual bliss not otherwise possible, and those around can listen and join in unison thru listening, not just superficial hearing.

  • 2. Many others play greatly too, but with the smooth, soft melodic flow of music rather marred by the repeated, intrusive "kattak kattak" noise (not the rhythmic strokes done by the left hand on the Taala strings below) which aises in most of them due to faulty fingering which seems to be passed on from Gurus who themsleves practised it and passed on to their Shishyas. The violin does not have scope for this (tho it has other sources of adverse effects on melody).

  • The Veena demands a high level of Carnatic musical sensibility even as it helps greatly to increase a musician's grasp of our music's profundities. E. Gayathri has mastered this Vaadya right from her early childhood with the benefit of her mom. .

  • In my hearing this Instrument since 40years, my appreciation was always with

Sri,Chittibabu who has that devine touch and make the instrument speak devinely. Now this one comes very very close to him and absolutely wonderful and devine sound.

  • what stellar playing. I like the "false ebb" in the video production where the tide rolls out from reversing the video.
