Have you got an ocatver on for the synth intro riff? Because if you have, take it off it sounds bad! You should get a synth effect or failing that, just keep it high! Don't use that octaver

I use standard tuning for the rest of the strings. And chorus with revert for the effects.. Sounds great tho.. Good job

@ccsusuperfan44 Yes indeed, i got it from my local guitar shop for $200. It's the Dean Evo 1000P, over here in Oregon I got it from Five Star Guitar. I did all the Kaoss mods myself, but yeah it's not a bad guitar at all.

@soheibben17 Hahahahaha nice. Yeah it's not that high quality of a guitar, but the factory pickups aren't half bad. The neck isn't the most comfortable and you won't get the best sustain but it's pretty good otherwise. It's a Dean Evo 1000P

Im a midi/kaoss pad noob, how do you use your kaoss pad on the guitar with a Kp3 and make effects come out of your amp? Also how do program effects?

@guitarforlif I'm running a KP2; what I do is plug my guitar into the Mic input of the KP2 and plug a cable to the Headphone Out jack into the amp.

@FRENAKK Well basically i took the touch screen and the touch pad connector out of the kaoss pad, wired the touch pad connector's old contacts on the Kaoss pad PCB to a DB9 female jack, wired the touch pad connector to another DB9, and then routed the cavity in the guitar. You can find more details by googling "Phil's Kaoss Mod"

@poppu80 I've got a Line 6 Spider III and a DigiTech Bad Monkey to generate the effects. The ending riff is a double octave setting on a DigiTech Whammy.

@Daavoid Thanks man! Technically the tuning isn't called drop D because the A string is tuned down to a G as well. I haven't seen the official tabs so either it is in Drop D or they call the real tuning Drop D. I prefer to play it how Matt plays it :)

@colashanacogh This isn't a midi pad, it's a light under a plate. It used to have the original Kaoss Pad screen. What you do is connect the Kaoss Pad in your signal chain, and connect the screen to the Kaoss Pad :)

@bobamonkey5 Without any soldering experience it is very difficult. I regret having done it then because now it is permanently broken due to poor soldering. At my current level it would be simple. My suggestion is to practice practice practic, then risk a $200 kaoss pad and a guitar. I had part of mine routed, but a chisel is also an option. For instructions look at phil's tutorial on unmaintained
