I play and sing this myself. It is an easy song to learn to play, but...to actually WRITE something like this takes the mega-talent of a Neil Young! Awesome song! Neil is a true giant among singer/songwriters! The dozen or so people who gave this the thumbs down obviously know very little about good music!

Thank you for sharing that, I can feel the depth of your love and longing for your late husband. When I was a teenager in the 70s, I suffered undiagnosed, clinical depression. Neil's longing is expressed so beautifully in this song that it made me feel there is hope for love for all of us. I am here today partly because of Neil's humanity and talent.

Raine, that is a very touching story. It speaks to me. When I was suffering depression while a teenager, this song gave me hope. Neil shared his longing for love in such a heart warming way made me believe that certainly there must be hope for all of us. He turned suffering into love with such beauty that it still leaves me feeling hope for humanity. Thank you.

My 14 year old learned this over the last week or so. A friend gave him a harmonica and he got to work on this song. The next day he was begging for a head piece for the harmonica. He already knew the guitar chords (excuse any bad teminology, I play no instuments) and for a couple of days he worked this song over until finally he had it. He sat me and mom down and played it last night. Tears of pride and joy fell down my wife's cheek and awe overcame me. This song continues to touch souls.
