@webkins32 No, there were never a lidsville movie planned. There was a second series and movie planned for the Bugaloos but the series was cancelled because the studio went bankrupt and the set and props were sold before they realised how successful the series actually was.

The fact that the Krofts filmed quite a few of their shows at Six Flags over Texas (The Banna Splits, Lidsville etc) really brings back memories, I used to go there all the time as a kid back in the 1970s.

This was originally written as a vehicle for Jack Wild's co-star in "Oliver" Mark Lester, however Lester was contractually obliged to make a film in Malta called "Eyewitness" at the time this was made meaning he couldn't star in this, hence the not so well known lead. Had Mark Lester been the star it would probably have been marketed more thoroughly and would be as famous as H.R. Pufnstuf.
