@ovensleeper you are right, that the super-majority is gone for the democrats for now, but the democrats will have the filibuster-proof majority in the near future, because the American people know that the Democratic Party is the party that fights for the people, not the Republicans.

@TheChamp70 Look at the polls. The Republicans are not popular. Hell, I don't even like them, but they're the lesser of two evils. The Republicans will make huge gains in 2010 because the democrats have made it easy on the repubs. They're too leftist for America. Your mexican voters will soon change sides. Fact: most mexicans consider themselves 'conservative' but far less identify with the republican party because of its bad enigma. I expect the hispanic support to become less democratic soon.

I don't check mail on here, sid. I wouldn't trust your sources anyway, as I'm sure the figures are distorted to fit your own agenda. It's obvious deregulation wasn't always a success (but the opposite is also true...seen the housing market lately?).
