WOW! and Curtis Jones voice is amazing which reminds me of Kashif's. outstanding!

  • I love this song and what the CD or MP3!!

  • It is hard to find them online... what are the names of the albums so I can do a better search?

  • They remind me of La Rue and Damain dame

  • I have the CD. The date printed on it was 1988. I think it was released overseas before coming here.

  • this was the jam in 89, it reminded me of my first love, cuz we had so much history together! 20 years later, i think we were made

    together!

  • I had this album, Shit had a couple of of bangers. " Time" and"Patience and Time" aaggh I wish i could find this now...

And this video version sucks. The album version is vastly superior...

  • LOL teddy Riley is a tease....the regular version I have the mpthree for but he never officially released it like the video version...boo hoo! LOL ;)

  • I have the whole Deja album with the original version of this song. I agree with you. This remix version is so tight!!! I actually converted it to MP3 and now I can listen to it in the car :).

    P.S. "Embedding disabled"? Boooo! :(

  • This song reminds me of "Never Knew Love Like This" by Alexander O'Neal and Cherrelle.

  • I don't remember this song, what year did it come out? I do like it though. It is from the 90's era.

  • Hey bro I think this soing came out circa 1988-1989, I know Teddy Riley produced it and this was during his hey day as the King of NEw Jack Swing!

  • This song came out in 1989. I agree in that Teddy is the man! and a pionner in the New Jack Swing movement. However, Bobby Brown is the true King of the New Jack Swing era.

  • CAME OUT 1989 i HOPE i HAVE THE FULL ALBUM

  • came out in '89

  • Shit take me back²

  • Anyone have the download/mpthree to THIS particular version?

  • I remember this group. I just asked about them. Do anyone have there first single?

"Time is running out" is still one of the great New Jack Swing classics IMHO!!!

  • could you post the track? ta

  • i've never seen this inmy life, where's starleena

  • I have this CD and this has to be the most underrated album ever to come out. Every track is slammin on it.

  • Whatever happened to this group? The song is banging!

  • This is when singing was true singing.

  • New jack made you feel good. Something that is so lost thses days. Everyone just wants to be hard.

  • Damn! you made my day!!I luuuuve this tune..... I have this album and its a killer!Do you know if the song 'time is running out' ever came out on Video??

    Rich

  • No this is the only video we did for this album. Sorry!

  • I can't find this song. where can you get it?

  • You can find the CD or vinyl on Ebay sometimes. Also you can go to Amazon and there are some copies lying around there.

  • I always this song sounded to similar to "Something in Common" by Bobby and Whitney. Same producer, Teddy Riley. Both are the cuts :)

  • it sure does... all of teddy's stuff sounded the same back then

  • Starlina was hot!!

  • tight chune man its like 20 years gone and this year is the 20th Anniversay of new jack swing. good ol days.

  • Starleena was quite the vision and I had a crush for many years on that lady......until she married James JT Taylor and then I was CRUSHED. Mysti is fine though and a great voice lies within that body. One overlooked group that needs to resurface.

  • I remember staying up late at night to watch the repeat episode of BET's Video Soul Countdown hosted by Donnie Simpson after I would get off from working at Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ during my summer vacations. Now I have officially joined the "Old Skool". All aboard!

  • Can somebody PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE post Deja's other videos for "You & Me Tonight" and "That's Where You'll Find Me"

  • YES!!! WHAT HE SAID!!!!!!!!!!! *sings* "As loooong as I'mmm living in this world, baby that's where you'll find me... right byyy your siiiide... now more than eeeeever..." THAT was my SONG!!!!

    okay, yeah.

  • super song great post i love it!!!!

  • Nice arranger! Teddy Riley was (still) the man. I prefer his material from the new jack era 1987-1991.

  • Outstanding!.TR flavor all the way. Teddy Riley is so talented. TR, let me say thanks for creating the New Jack Swing style. We want you back!. R&B and hip-hop suck nowadays!!

  • THE WHOLE ALBUM WAS BANGING

  • Thanks for posting the full version. Song is bangin and TR does it again. TR took some of deja's melody and gave it to whitney houstin in "something in common". He also incorporated Zan The Man's work that he produced into bobby and whitney's song. So technically he merged 2 songs lol. But either way, you cant beat this one. Its original.

  • my best girlfriend and i recall watching this beautiful woman (Mysti Day,formely of deja) performing in h-town. awed by her powerful voice, raw energy, great showmanship, grace and absolute beauty. we were drawn to her almost nightly; sitting in awe as she lit up the night and tore up the stage. how wonderful to see and hear her again. can't wait for future works.

    k and ticia :-)
