  • Woa, that was really good dude. You don't generally find many good bass solos on this site. Kudos. Nice bass by the way!

  • man you look like snoop dogg xD haha niche vid though, keep it up do!:D .. for shizzel XDD

  • i want those tabs :D

  • I love that scratchy sound! <3

    Awsome!

  • Victor Wooten u wanna say Patturi :D

  • Good stuff. Gotta love the harmony and tone the bass can bring out, especiall when played right. -

  • amazing

  • very great but sounds just like flamenco guitar

  • Bob yo da man, playin bass like that u own them .. FENDER FOR LIFE MAN !!!

  • Dude, thats sick. Great job!

  • Waooo alors là bravo, bravo et encore bravo, c génial

  • nice solo dude.. which tune u set ¿¿

PD: ur similiar to da nigga who play bass solos its very nice but i dont remember da name

  • This bass solo is called BASSically speaking from the album BASSically speaking, Produced AND Arranged by bassist Brian Bromberg using a panning string fretted electric coustom bass @1990. This ARTIST goes a good job but this is not an ORIGINAL tune he made.

  • that really is very good

takes bass way past just complimenting a guitarist in a band

  • First off really awesome song... but i'm curious, I've never heared a fender play like that!!! the sound was really livly, how did you do it?

  • Brian Bromberg had a custom bass when he played this! You're very close!!!

  • Another reason why I want to try the bass.

  • BIG! ! ! ! VERY ! ! !

  • btw... awsome sound... veeeeeeery nice solo

  • As with many instruments, theres playing the bass, and then there is understanding the bass. I can play (somewhat badly compared to this) bass, but I may never be able to understand it like this. Thats not be being cynical, thats me being truthful.

  • very nice!

  • one word: chilled.

    second word: groovy.

    third and last one: perfect.

  • very nice...

  • Lovely song. Seriously, one of the best things I have heard play. Not only that, the playing is excellent as well. Beautiful tone and sound. A+

  • very nice! i trying repeat this :P its not hard =*

  • wtf's ur problem... where's the need to say it not hard,... to bring up ur ego? Who the fuck cares if you can play it too, ur a fucking deuche bag... stfu and enjoy the solo.

  • that was far to beautiful to be a bass solo, amazing

  • i think someone likes stu hamm ;-)

  • i like it

  • love the style, i really like playing when people play notes against other notes all the time

  • You are the man. Maybe in a year I will be able to do something like that. Congratulations.

  • dunt put this dude down hes aswome

    thumbs up m8 enjoyed dat!

  • the tapping at 1:06 sucked and some of the 4th's/3rd tapping was alittle sloppy, but the rest was great, nice tune and chords

  • Workin that fender, who do you play with? Thats some smooth tappin there.

  • that was awesome...

  • You need to use a little less treble and a lot more bass, otherwise, good work.

  • awesome, i like!

like the last guy.. my hands are small so i find things like that hard =(

  • i wish i had that long fingers ... would make it ezier to get some chors working on bass for me!

  • one of the better solos on youtube, a little too chorded sometimes but very good and melodic, was it improv or arranged?

  • Amazing man, i'm looking to build on a similar style!Did you create your own bass chords?

  • Estupendo amigo. Felicitaciones

  • Amazing !!!nice playin man good stuff

  • holy shit that is good m8!

  • Amazing !!!

  • Like it. I play those kind of things as well.

  • Nice stuff mate.

  • Really nice stuff! Maybe a bit guitar-ish but it sounds great nontheless!

  • what ? great tapping

  • this is made in 1989 Dude, far before you was born

  • You make it seem like bassists are meant to be rammed into the corner and play shit notes every second, we can do what we fucking want

  • Not a fan of tapping but thats some good stuff.

  • fuckin... nice man!

  • Good tune man.

  • nice but what synth/pedal are you using- i almost never use effects but i'm trying to get fimiliar with them.

  • Im using a 19"alesis quadraverb in combination with a BB maximizer only use the chorus and short delay

    chekk it out man

  • Amazing technique and a great composition.

  • You take bass to a whole new level, you have influnced me man

  • u look like greg howe man

  • who the F is that dude

  • Just jokin man! Greg's a great guitarplayer man

  • Dude you rock.

  • i'm not really a fan of tapping

  • Fuckin' awsome!

  • Nice bass and playing but im not really familiar with that kind of music.

  • Do you have a tab of that got the effects already in my amp so

    Joey

  • No TABS sorry

  • good job, my brutha!

  • look at the colour, its a standard made in mexico, my jazz has the same tone without as much ring

  • the beginning is beyond sick. the rest is awesome. i love it all! gr8 effin' job man. 5 stars.

  • great sound

is it an american jazz bass?

    or mexican

    or what?

  • This is an Mexican jazzbass with an baddass bridge

  • Tappin' sweet like Fred Astaire.

  • awesome

  • that was quite enjoyable

  • very nice

  • Nice tone dude, not to mention the playing. I like the shimmer it has to it. What kind of Jazz Bass is that, and what kind of pickups? I enjoyed ur performance dude. P.S: Your digits are hella long.

  • its wery nice!

  • That was damn briliant mate, and i thought i was good :D...

  • its kinda great when u make ppl want to learn play any instrument.. u did it man

  • I like your sensetive way to touch such a great instrument like a bass... really good work man !

  • Real nice, Loved your tone. 5 stars

  • Beautiful. Love the tone.

  • is this an original peice?

  • yep the first one called "2of a kind" after my kids...

    second a mix of ?

  • man you've got the exact same bass as me :D

  • Very nice, I really should learn more on tapping.

  • i found his tapping quite good, maybe a bit too much sustain on the tapping there was throughout the entirety of the song, but tapping without a specific order for each finger's tap requires more than very good muscle memory.

this guy is definitely getting a 5 for this video.

  • nice what effect ur usin ?

  • Im using alessis midiverb , short delay mix chorus and a bb maximizer

  • sounds like chorus or somthing like that

  • Nice choice of chords and melodies. Excellent dynamics. And Its Musical!! not just a collection of runs or tricks that alot of solo players would do. This is quite mature and creative. Cheers :)

  • pretty good but i still prefer Stu Hamm :)

anyway u got a tab on this one? wud appreciate it, did u do the song by urself?

  • Im sorry but dont have TAB from this.

  • I am diggin this stuff - It can be very useful to play this way behind different soloists - taking the normal comping instrument out and adding this aspect to the bass is killer. The people writing above that were hating are kids maybe high school at the oldest and have not played professionally.

  • what do you mean "nothing special?" that was really good. It was unique, not hard rock or funk, which most great bassists stay on. Good job, keep playin

  • me liked! good stuff, if you made that yourself goodjob, very creative and melodic

  • jesuschristoper...you're a moron, it is something special, playing bass is different then guitar...unless ur picking with a pick..., which is a way to get a different sound that some people prefer, but this guy did a good job, don't post to criticize.

  • man you played so good. that´s a nice video.

    please more videos

  • niice man it was soft but very well done nice tapping definately

  • Ahh awesome man!! when I get my bass I cant wait to play that good!

  • dude's not even black

  • this is really good what kind of effect are you using to get that sound it sounds amazing

  • a short delay and chorus

  • Pen2AndyP you racist shit, black person playing well? so its nothing special? jezuz i would spit on you if i could.

  • Whatever, I'm not saying it's not good but it's just a joke.

  • oh its a fender

  • cool bass is that a ibanez?

  • more vids please, as soon as possible !

  • black person playin really well, nothing special

  • Nice. I never knew you could get those sounds out of a bass.

  • welllllll done

  • wow... i love your bass guitar... also u play very good

  • really good

  • why did you look at the camera when you reached over to play B? and i think you did it twice

  • Just a Habbit... B4B ...

  • amazing tone, wish i could get my bass to sound like that lol

  • sweet

  • i dont know anything about bass... but that was the best thing ive ever heard from a bass

  • ...Thats just purely amazing, by far some of the best playing I have ever heard.

  • wow

  • pretty nice

  • beautiful songs

  • master!

  • thats good dude

  • very very nice, its like a combination of modern versus an ethnic quality that is hard to decribe. If it had a groove then it would be hella good, all the same, i wish i could do that.

  • cool playing

  • Sweeeet playing dude... any reason why you're telling yourself "cool playing" though? ;)

  • it was cold in that room, thats why lol
