  • The EON 518 s is a really nice sub.its light weight, its powerful and it sounds verry nice ;) i use it since a year now and im really happy with it :)

  • Hmmmm. I would have gone passive subs and powered tops. Personally I run 2 PRX 625 tops and 2 passive JRX 118s's with a 1400watt QSC GX5 amp. I use a BBE signal processor which helps the speakers perform to their peak potential because it includes an EQ and a crossover. If anything I would invest in a signal processor.

  • Get the eon... at DJ Expo.... (I bought it at DEALER PRICE)

  • the first jbl u said is $700 on amazon

  • is this new one replacing the old one?

  • EON for sure but for a 100 more the SRX is there granite its not powered but SRX is the way to go

  • So between these two subs the EON is much better. You're dealing with one sub in the JRX that pushes out 350 Watts continuous and the JBL Eon that pushes 500 watts continous. I've used the JRX at some small lounges that had them in their setup when pumped up they can start to distort. The eon is a much better sounding, powerful and quality sub. Good luck.

  • I have the EON and I can't say anything bad about it...... works well for me!

  • I heard bad things about the eon seres like radeling in the grill of the speaker. That is what I herd. I don,t know about the subs.

  • @MyDJBrandon lies

  • @MSDJALC i just herd that from some one

  • @MyDJBrandon heh?

  • Okay, here is what I think with the 2 choices I would go with the EON for $900 but I have used both. They will do a room of about 100 by 100 or less that is it. But that is just my opinion. What will you be doing with it mostly?

  • @dmsdjing using it at gigs and just partys we do we just want a step up from the sub we have now and this will help -DJ RYAN-

  • @skaterboy7311 If I were you I would not sell the Peavey keep it along with the JBL. Do you guys have a graphic equalizer, and if you do that can act as a crossover.

  • heard bad things about the eon, go mackie or rcf

  • Get the eon - its higher powered

  • You should have 3 times as much sub power then your top end speakeres, and when hooking up a sub ina system, you can patch out of one of your tops and into the sub....even if its powered.

  • @skaterboy7311 EON is better on paper but i have the look of the entire EON G3 serries thats just me. I would still get it for the sound tho.
