There also should've been a penalty for the players. How about this lot;

All Melbourne players being disqualified from the Australian Test and both State of Origin teams;

No individual 'Man of the Match' awards, even if the Storm won (the awards would be given to players of opposing teams); and

No players being eligible for the Dally M award.

@headphone355 The only problem I could see with this is the players who had no knowledge of the salary cap breach and weren't getting any special payments to make them suspect anything.

Maybe some players knew but who knows and lumping everyone with the same sort of punishment wouldn't be fair on the player who thought he was being honest and above board. I think the current punishment is fair.
