These things are MUCH cheaper than buying the individual volumes together. What do the individual volumes have over this complete collection? Or does this complete collection contain all of what the individual volumes have, except is priced significantly lower therefore making the purchasing of the individual volumes redundant and unnecessary?

The Kanon boxset I know, at least, is missing extras that the single volumes had.

Also with the individual volumes, you can get the pimp chipboard artbox, which is so much nicer than Funi's more flimsy packaging. I got the individual volumes for AIR just now, while Rightstuf still has them in stock.
