@princeofdarknessxyz1 Yes ... though I like Fred Astaire's singing on this and many songs, it's his great acting technique (for example timing) and his sincerely emoted emotion toward his lady, but Fred's voice is basically thin and wispy. (As was said of Fred & Ginger, he supplied the class, she the sex appeal.) But here Desi brings to the song (and dance) his superior vocal sonority, depth and volume, and deep feeling and machismo sex appeal. Desi perhaps the most underrated celebrity ever.

Seeing them together is great and I hate that they got divorced, but learning how much trouble they had with their relationship and how miserable Lucy and desi were, makes me somewhat glad they got divorced. I mean it's not like they completely stopped loving eachother. In fact, they never did and didn't deny it. Some things just never work out and that's one of those things.

yes they did get divorced and remarried to other people, but they were still very much in love with each other. Their love for the other spouses were never comparable to the love that they felt for each other. I believe I read that Lucie Arnaz said in some interview that her mother died of a broken heart over Desi's death.
