"Jack The Ripper - The Musical". I can see it now. What a delight that would be! You should send this to Nick Cave. I'm sure he would love it. :o) Nice to hear that you've visited us here in the UK. Have you been anywhere else in the UK besides London? I have family in America, mainly Tulsa. Whereabouts are you based? Bysie bye
No idea what made me come up with the lyrics, although I've toured Whitechapel, and I learned a lot about Jack The Ripper, but I have no idea why I came up with it then.
Excellent--have you ever heard "Cruisin' With Reuben and The Jets"--an old Mothers of Invention doo-wop album? I love old greasy a capella--plus I love gruesome songs.
lmao, love the lyrics! You've got a great voice. I'll be singing "Jack the ripper! He's got a scalpel in his hand" and "Hey all you prostitues!" around the house for days haha.
Hahaha, whistling it at work...It would be great if someone asked you, "What's that song you're whistling?" and you had to answer, "Errr, 'Jack the Ripper'...by some guy on YouTube"
Yeah, I like songs in which th elyrics don't match the singing style...it adds a certain irony and humour. It's like telling a joke that either has no punchline, or is nothing but a punchline (a one-liner).
Thanks, haha...Yeah my natural singing voice is a high baritone, pretty much right in the middle, but I'm actually much more comfortable singing lower.
cool vid

That's bloody hilarious. The two minutes of subtitles and harmonizing seemed a bit much, but they were worth the wait. Good work, old boss.
