@punkshoujo Actually, in quite a few episodes, save for ones where other people around, America seems to recognize Canada easily. And in Paint it, White! Canada seems to be completely recognizable to Cuba as well, even though Cuba had problems recognizing him in the anime.

Also, I don't know whether you've read the comics or not, but it's been said that Prussia never mistook Canada for another country, or saw through him altogether.
