ive seen these around my house and there like the size of a baseball but they we a really cool purple color...i thought it was poisinous or something...are purple ones bad?

Yes you can eat them when freash just I have done many a time.

I did not know they were edible. I have also been told that when dried that they are good for anticeptic properties for small cuts.

My family has been hunting & eating puffballs for decades.

My grandfather found one almost 2 feet in diameter.

I've found them the size of a football and thought I had a huge one. That is amazing and it looks ready to spread it's spores.
