  • Always the same: » I would choose the most beautiful, flamboyant girl etc. It looks like a lie or insult here. Why?

  • there is not teaching without narcissism. Period!

Deal with it or stop studying

  • My God is this guy boring....a horrible teacher

  • Too full of himself. All his assignments are his books. Everything is his developing opinion. What about the students? Don't they have any thoughts? Students don't want to sit at someone's feet hoping and praying that some wisdom will rub off on them. A very poor teaching environment.

  • OK, so the students contribute, but the feeling is all wrong. It's all about him. He is an intellectual narcissist.

  • why on earth would you pass a judgment about this professor's personality?? The students have thoughts, sure---but the professor is the starting point, the students engage the professor at the appropriate time, not when you deem fit. He earned it, you jerkoff.

  • You seem very ready to pass judgement on me, though. Narcissistic professors like this only survive because there is a constant supply of fawning idiots to sit at his feet.

  • Everyone is nacissistic, or shall I put it there are degrees of narcissism. Fawning idiots---sure, there are many. But that disregards the intellectually curious and those hungry to learn. College is only one of many places to seek knowledge.

In philosophy they call what you're pulling on me an ad hominem attack. Look it up you stupid bastard.

  • he's a philosopher, you gotta give them some hope right?

  • What is he supposed to do, entertain you between his explanation of concepts? It's a difficult subject and what you want is him to be perky, maybe get out of his chair and that gray musty sweater and dazzle the camera. If you want entertaining then I recommend giving a listen to the biggest bum political philosophy teacher on the plant: Rush Limbaugh. You'll like that won't you dope?

  • there are no good apples, only tasty or not tasty ones... i mean, eating candy during a serious lecture on love is base..tasteless

bestowal or appraisal may not be important as writing (writing as propensity/unconscious moral content), thus qualities written into the heart...(you might call this imagination)

    ...

we recognize good qualities in others we possess ourselves ..and we cognize qualities we do not possess..

love is a fusion and a sharing of qualities..a sharing as inspiration

  • excellent insight, but i take issue with one or two of those statements. i see how you could hold those views in regard to bestowal, etc., but i'm not sure i agree with...

    first!

  • I don't allow eating in my lectures or seminars. Drinks are permitted - but no food. Very bad manners.

  • yeah but he does so what
