Hello Angie! I was curious, how can a true christian believe such nonsense? I also don't know how true christians can descriminate against people for their sexuality. I was raised to love everyone regardless of what they did or who they love, and no one can call themselves a christian and descriminate. Actually, the video is in reference to a claim a WOMAN here in knoxville made that was an article by my friends at the Knoxville News Sentinel. Luke 10:22 gives an explanation on how to understand Matthew 24:36; that is no man in himself could know the day and the hour apart from God's revelation. Christ has to reveal it to whom he will.
@Jisvital You are absolutely correct. Another example would be when Jesus asked his disciples who do people say that I am and then who do you say that I am. When Peter answered 'the son of God' Jesus said flesh and blood did not reveal this to you but the Father above. The knowledge of Christ is in the Fathers power too and he reveals him to whom he wills. The Same is with the day and hour of the end time.

In Matthew 24:36 God says that no man knows the hour, BUT In Daniel 12:4, God says that he will unseal his book and reveal the world's end when knowledge has increased..Take a look around you in our world...Knowledge has increased at an alarming rate in the past two decades. This also coincides with numerous prophecies from Native spiritual indians(Mayans, Hopi etc).

I didn't know about this apocalypse until yesterday when my friend said something about it and started freaking out... I don't believe it at all and I think that people need to calm down about it.

There's contradictions and ignored versus that, by personal preference, accept as a parable or fact.
I believe the end of the world is not nigh, that God/Allah/the Universe would give us fair warning, that we are on the verge of the new age & being prepared for it. I have given myself in service for the remainder of my life and I believe it will be a long and supremely satisfying life as we see those who are committed to the Light come into their own (the meek, inheriting the earth). Not only were you wrong about where the actual claim came from, it obviously was wrong, and you miss are a munipulator, you can tell just how you choose your words, the rumor came from a man called Harold Camping who spent 40 years studying the bible, which was a waste of time, he also predicted the end of the world in 1994, which was wrong, and was again wrong in 2011. People have been doing this for thousands of years and are wrong. The bible is also wrong, its bullshit, you know that.

Matthew 24:36 But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.
Luke 10:22 All things are delivered to me of my Father: and no man knoweth who the Son is, but the Father; and who the Father is, but the Son, and he to whom the Son will reveal him.
Luke 10:22 gives an explanation on how to understand Matthew 24:36; that is no man in himself could know the day and the hour apart from God's revelation. Christ has to reveal it to whom he will.

@Jisvital You are absolutely correct. Another example would be when Jesus asked his disciples who do people say that I am and then who do you say that I am. When Peter answered 'the son of God' Jesus said flesh and blood did not reveal this to you but the Father above. The knowledge of Christ is in the Fathers power too and he reveals him to whom he wills. The Same is with the day and hour of the end time.

@angieawakened If you're a Minister, why are you only looking at part and not the entire scriptures? In Matthew 24:36 God says that no man knows the hour, BUT In Daniel 12:4, God says that he will unseal his book and reveal the world's end when knowledge has increased..Take a look around you in our world...Knowledge has increased at an alarming rate in the past two decades. This also coincides with numerous prophecies from Native spiritual indians(Mayans, Hopi etc).

@GTnumber1 There is no "If" about it, I am a minister and have been for some time now. What you are saying is that because of our increased evolution both intellectually and spiritually that we are headed for the end of the world. That same thing could be said for the period of the Renaisance after the dark ages. I believe that a lot of what the bible has said has been taken too literally. There is political and social symbolism in the bible. Myan/Hopi,yes, a great awakening not destruction.

Hold on, you are a reverend and don't know that he comes like a thief in the night for unbelievers. Those who are not looking for him. Read it carefully and figure which group you are in. The bible does say: 1 Thes5:4 But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief. 5 Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness. If your in darkness you will not know when the end is but if your in the light you will know when it is that he comes. If he does not come 2011 so then it is a wrong date but if he does then Utoh where are we in our hearts before the day of judgment? We need to read the Bible

@pajamababy01 There are parts of the Bible that have been removed and replaced by the coucil of Nicea (the ones who created the Nicean Creed) to remove the power that women had in spiritual teaching. In knowing this fact, I do not ascribe to any cheauvanistic viewpoint that is not of God (for God is perfect and complete in love of ALL THINGS) that is included in the Bible as filler.

My spirit and logic say that Harold Camping is going to be falsified on May 22 2011...And this is coming from someone that was a devoted listener to open forum. When i read the bible, I find so many contradictions to what harolds claims, that i have no choice but to reject harold camping on this topic.I believe he is a false prophet, and in a way I am glad he is making this prediction because his followers will be set free after may 21 2011.

In other words, don't take a book that has been debunked many times over historically and scientifically. The rest of the world and all of it's various religions that our brothers and sisters embrace, all feel the same way from time to time. Religion is tradition, and if you can deny all other gods, yours can be denied just as equally.

Nothing is going to happen. This is irrational thinking and has no bearing on society. There is no '5/21/11'. What there is, is gullible people listening to others who what attention and/or profit from a ridiculous idea. Superstition is a myth. Bible numerology is irrelevant aside from representing itself in the bible. It's been translated from latin to hebrew to finally our interpretation. There's contradictions and ignored versus that, by personal preference, accept as a parable or fact.

I believe the end of the world is not nigh, that God/Allah/the Universe would give us fair warning, that we are on the verge of the new age & being prepared for it. I have given myself in service for the remainder of my life and I believe it will be a long and supremely satisfying life as we see those who are committed to the Light come into their own (the meek, inheriting the earth). Good luck to all lightworkers from all spiritual backgrounds at this exciting if challenging time.
