@Cecfire0123 Because the Ambulance Paramedics of BC were on strike last year for pay parity with fire and police, and also better resources (more vehicles and staff). Not much has changed. You can check the APBC web site for more info.
You should take a drive to the South Terminal area at YVR. There is a BCAS station in there somewhere where they have a few Critical Care / ITT / Flight Paramedic ambulances.
These units are infact rare units to be seen. Their are only a small handful around the province. These units are staffed by CCP's which have an even higher scope of practice then ACP's. These crews work in this ambulance for transfers that are deemed unstable and needing the extra expertise. These ambulances also do the transfers with these CCP's in the back aswell as atleast a CC nurse or doctor.

Sweet. Thats one of the new Ambulances.. And I am pretty sure those are Flight Paramedics that staff that ambualnce when they are not flying.

I can tell from the chassis that it's new, but it's still made by Crestline - apparently the one's rfom Demer's should be here.
I thought flight medics were ACPs, not CCPs..but that would make more sense to have CCPs flying.

I think those are mainly used for transport from the station to the helicopter pad...and to get Timmys during down time. :)
