Sounds great! I just bought a used MG100HDFX and I'm running it through my 2x12 cab with Celestion Vintage 30s and I'm getting some really good tones. Also, I'm setting the clean channel for a decent crunch and then boosting it with my Zakk Wylde Overdrive pedal and it sounds a little better than the overdrive channel. I have several all tube Marshall heads and I STILL enjoy the MG100HDFX! I don't care what the haters say! : )
i have this amp and i also own a jcm 2000 dls 100 and to tell you the truth the mg no matter what anyone else says there jsut dumb kids the mg stack sounds pretty nice if you dial it right im surprised at how good the overdrive sounds for a non tube amp id say get it it can get pretty heavy with the mid and contour rolled back and gain cranked good for metal and rock id say get it

To much bass for the heavy stuff. You have to set the bass very low if you wanna use this amp for most extreme metalsounds.
