  • Epic shit, well done.

  • This is perhaps my favorite version of this tune.

  • this is so amazing! lol

i wish real life was like this

  • Excellent version - great performance, voice and playing. Thank you I am passing it on to my musician friends.

  • Perfect accompaniment for a coffee break to banish any potential dullness and replace it with giggles...

  • Never heard the original version. I only know the heavy metal version made by Angra and singed by Andre Matos.

  • it rocks!

  • Better Than The Original

  • Billy Shears,,,,,the last words...the Beatles fuse this name as a segue between St Peppers Club Band and the second song in their album,,"With a Little help from my friends"...it was another name for RINGO.....in that album.....

  • What are the last words they sing? Can't work it out...

  • @fredbot1994 Billy Shears.

    See 07087joenj's comment for explanation.

  • 2:32: "Can we not just 'ave a pizza on a Sunday like everyone else...." Love it.

  • funnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

  • i like it so much that the audience can join in ("Heathcliff"!!!")

  • actually, . . . . its not too bad :)

  • i love the sea of moving heads :3

  • Great version.

  • Ok, he started singing and it got added to favourites.

  • Love this guy's singing style - can anybody direct me to more of his (cover) songs?

  • @NietzscheanMan He (George Hinchliffe) sings their cover of Orange Blossom Special (even though there's not much singing in that), and also sings part of their cover of Life on Mars.

And I haven't even mentioned their cover of the Shaft theme yet!

  • To take the original and turn it to this version is just pure genius! It's too hard not to love it.

  • Come to New Zealand again please!

  • Swing it Heathie boy!

  • What absolute genius. Love the Heathcliff echo especially.

  • i'm a huge fan of kate bush and usually can't stand covers, BUT, that one is really really good! congrats UOOGB!

  • press play and then 2 repeatedlly. so hilarious!

  • This is such a fantastically jaunty and catchy adaption of a great song. The new rhythm is just addictive! Don't you agree? What a wonderful tune.

  • @Morgancer yet another pretentious...... person, who completely fails to understand what this group is about, or to have the faintest sense of humour.

The Smells Like Teen Spirit video takes the biscuit for stupid comments just like that.

  • Outstanding!!!!

  • I would love to see them live!

  • HEATHCLIFF!! Love, love, love them! Gonna see them in August in Berlin :)

  • @marczella4 they're a comedy group, mate. Don't take it so seriously!

  • @marczella4

You gotta be kidding me? Mate.... you need a clear dose of 'LIGHTEN UP PAL' followed by 2 'WAKE UP IDIOT' in the morning, and top it off with 'GET A LIFE' in the evening.

You clearly do not have any appreciation for pure talent when you see it or hear it to make the comment you did .

  • @marczella4 Reading your post delighted me. You are clearly humourless.

  • @marczella4 Hey man, it's classy, clean, and in good taste. Good musicianship, as well. Calling it cheap entertainment is insulting to the work these people put into their music and shows.

  • @marczella4 LOL. Get off your high horse and pull the stick out of your ass buddy.

  • @marczella4 Interesting, I happen to find this version better than the original, which to me is a piece of involuntarily funny studenty pomp sung by a cackling hen dressed for a pantomime. The UOGB version sees it for what it is and turns it into an enjoyable and (voluntarily) funny song. Points of view!

  • I like this version better than the original, to be honest... This one swings baby!

    I like his voice... ^^

  • lol i really like this lol what fun!

  • Saw them at the Reading Hexagon last night...A fantastic evenings entertainment, i would recomend anybody to go and see them live if you get the chance.

  • Saw them at the Reading Hexagonlast night.......a fantastic evenings entertaiment.

  • Bill--lllyyyy-Sheeeaarsss!!

  • HINCHCliff

  • @Rovergbjy LOL!!

Actually, his name is George Hinchliffe, not Hinchcliffe, but very funny even so!

  • @flavia83 m8, they're a novelty group, don't take it so seriously!

  • @flavia83 twonk

  • i love the sea of waving heads you can see :D

  • My aim in life is to join this band.

  • Brilliant! So simple, genius.

  • Saw them play this live last night- best gig I've ever been to :D

  • @squishy3000 easily the best gig i've seen as well when they came to perth. 3 encores and 2 standing ovations

  • The last time I felt like listening to a video over and over was Queensryche's Eyes of a stranger which my sister and I watched for over 8 hours nonstopl

  • Still-

    Ho! HO! HO! LOVE THIS!

  • Vic Reeves - in the style of a Caberet Singer?

  • @davidnarbett lol, you're right. George Hinchliffe does look a bit like Vic Reeves. Well, he did with that hair style, not any more.

  • Fantastic.

  • not hard to be better than Kate Bush but still...FREAKING BLOWS HER OFF THE FACE OF THE EARTH! I mean combining the song with Jazz is just freakin' genius :') Long live UOGB!

  • @Superduperminime Don't Cut the Bush!

  • @Superduperminime - Not hard to be better than kate Bush!? Dude, she's awesome!!

  • @DarthVulva Ehm...no -.- this is coming from a person who combined Star Wars and Female Genitalia (Ironic that the two never go together anywhere else...) to produce their name....XD

  • @Superduperminime - I think the two compliment each other rather well actually.

  • LOL... And some other rubbish like this.....

  • waaaay better than the kate bush version ^^

  • id love to know the uke tab for this >.< anyone?

  • The vibrato at 1:44 is epic!

    Gods, I love them!

  • brilliant

  • o my god!!!

  • I love this so much better than the actual song.

  • haha :D

I bet Heathcliff could hear them!

  • One day, I will be able to do this on my ukulele :D

  • @sarriosity It's just playing chords. There's very few people actually use, you'll get the hang of it rather quickly.

  • I love when he starts to crack up at 2:00! Heathcliff! lol

  • sooo entertaining... ;-)

  • Ingenious :D

  • Alan partridge would love this ,nice

  • This is just fantastic!

  • "Can we not just have a pizza on Sunday night like everyone else?"

  • Look and learn Kate and next time do it properly, like this

  • I've died and gone to uke heaven.

  • Toe tapping nirvana

  • Fantastic!!

  • this is better than the original.

  • great, great, great, great :D

  • Blaspemy

  • genial!!!!!

  • Have you heard from Kate? I hope she laughed like I did!

    Great!

  • not what i was expecting, but it made me smile! thumbs up

  • They better hope Kate never hears this.

  • @RUDYNATACHA I think Kate would find it hilarious. That's it's purpose, it's just a fun cover. You're supposed to laugh.

  • @athull08 You might be right. Other than the performers, I'd be surprised if anyone in the audience has ever even heard of her.

  • @RUDYNATACHA I wouldn't say that, she is quite famous. Anyway, if they didn't know who she was, or hadn't heard the original, they wouldn't get the humour.

  • @athull08 I was thinking about this song today and it reminds me of a Three Stooges song (about them, not by them) that went, "Hey, Moe, hey Moe! Well, nyuck, nyuck, nyuck, nyuck! " It's echoed too, a la "Heathcliff!"

  • @RUDYNATACHA I believe the song you're thinking of is called "The Curly Shuffle" by Jump N' The Saddle.

  • @ks4isu That's what it is. I thought I posted a link, but I see it's not here.

  • this dudes great!

  • @BritishAlienCompany I've managed to persuade my class to watch this as part of a lesson :D xx

  • My favorite cover of the great song. I love the lead singer's accent :)

  • It's sunday, and I'm taking David's advice

  • lol love it :D

  • "It's all very well running around...can we not just have a pizza on a sunday night like everyone else?" Love it!

  • It seems that Jonty had kept on laughing that night ... cute ....:-)

    George is fantastic !

  • if I have a bad day I simply put this clip on and laugh. I think they are playing in Hamilton NZ at the Founders Theatre this month. Will hopefully, get to see them live!

  • Does some say "Can we not just have a pizza on a Sunday like everyone else" at about 2:33 or am I just hearing things?!

  • @squishy3000 That's exactly what he said. It was David saying it (far left, long hair).

  • @athull08 Thank you. I am not hearing things. This is always good to know.

  • @squishy3000 thanks for pointing that out; I'd not noticed it.

  • They are AWESOME!

  • "O" for Oarsome....HEATHCLIFF

  • This is pretty epic, it had to be said!!

    Gostei e aconcelho a prática!

  • I love this cover. I think I've listening to it 6 times today. It's not even noon. @_@

  • Brilliant!

    "HEATHCLIFF!"

  • a total classic

  • Awesome version! I love Kate Bush's original, but this is all kinds of cool.

    : )

  • amazing!

  • billy shears!

  • AHAHA awesome!!!

  • GO THE BEATLES! WAP WAP BACON BAP!

  • Just like Kate's version of Rocket Man has a lot more drive than Elton's original, this Wuthering Heights totally rocks.

That 30 year old stong still has so much potential and I'd LOVE to have Kateie perform it with the UOOGB.

  • I can't quite decide whether George or Jonty is the best singer in the group. What does anyone else think?

  • lol, loved the bit at the start, when Peter stopped making those sound effects and just said 'or some other rubbish like that'!

  • superb put me In such a greatgood mood !!!!!!!!

  • excellent

  • Hahaha! what a fantastic cover!

  • We're just trying to make it swing.

  • piedpiperpianos, the last line is from The Beatles, Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band when they introduce "the act you've known for all these years...Billy Shears"

  • Who says "can't we have a pizza on a Sunday like everyone else" and what is the last line? Billy Cheese???

  • @piedpiperpianos I'd probably guess it was David who said that. In the camera shot at 2:34, nobody's lips are moving, so it's not any of them, which just leaves David and Jonty, and I think it sounds more like David, but I'm not certain.

  • @athull08 It is David. In another version he says "Can we not go shopping on a Sunday like other people?" I love this song.

  • LOL you don't look like my Image of Cathy But a Great clip.
