maybe its for the best they probably wouldnt get as much love, but at least they would be playing for people who actually have the same cultural experiences they talk about in the tunes. dont think many people in beligum know anything about open up the gates. Africa we want to go home.

i wish ah group like the great congos would bless jamaica up more often. they hardly ever perform here, always france, beligum and these european nations. i understand that this is where the bread's at but young people like me need to see these elders more often. how about it congos a show a year to give a strenght to the youth?

Yeah, they live in america don't they? I'm not complaining about them playing in Europe, i saw (and met) them twice this summer, but i get you point.

you know why they don't play in jamaica? because they probably could not sell enough. jamaica is all about dancehall. roots reggae is more popular in europe than in jamaica
