  • lol Dig Dug... such a catchy, roll-off-your-tongue title, but when you really think about it... who the heck came up with that title anyways?

  • @mutehero7 Namco so someone in japan, You know when they teach you languages, or you use a translation dictionary you learn words in every tense, past tense, present tense, and more stuff like this. I'm sure they just remember looking up the word and seeing "Dig, Dug , Digging, Digger"

  • aww brilliant game, one of my faves on atari!

  • the console looks kinda nice

  • yeah, it's the 1986 re-release called Atari 2600 Jr. It was meant to clear out all the old inventory of 2600 motherboards. it was only $99 at release, half the price of a ful-size system sold in 1977.

  • Sorry you got it wrong. the 2600 jr was a redesign made in 1983 and shelved until tramiel decided to release it does not use a regular 2600 motherboard it couldnt fit in that case and the price when it was released 49.95.

  • You're right I was wrong. I did a lot more research on it in the last several months when I started collecting more Atari hardware. And the $99 comment was a typo, I know better than that. And it was a quarter the launch price not half.

I should have said "processors" not "motherboards" because they used the same CX-2600 CPU.

  • Wow amazing sound for the 2600
