I used to love going through the highest rated videos, they were always really great, even though they may not have had many views.

But now, the only option for browsing is "most liked", and that just means lots of people have seen it and given it a thumbs up, even if lots of people have also seen it and given it a thumbs down. (For example, Bieber's baby is #4 for most liked, even though more than half of the ratings for it are thumbs down)

2: Vevo just keeps the music free. Does the uploader even matter anyway? It's the music you're there for, isn't it?

3: Once again, it isn't free to maintain a website.

Well guys. Times have changed. Its no longer about that quality of things anymore. As of right now, people only seem to care about money. Take YouTube as an example. The very first layout of youtube ever was possibly the best. No ads, no vevo. People at that time had a chance to actually show who they are and show their talents! Right now people steal videos and try to get a partnership for MONEY. What happened to the quality in videos anymore? My love for youtube has gone down GREATLY.

Addition: am referring to the MUSIC section. In the videos section Most Viewed is active but in Music??

In my youtube interface i dont see anymore any Categories block. I have no way to acces the Popular / Most Viewed / HD sub menu. It was perfectly working some time ago. I tried in settings but found no way to bring it back.

If I go in most viewed it will show only the few most popular videos for each category, not all of them in order of number of views as it used to. Anyone can suggest how to reach 'Most viewed' function? Was it removed?

Those who use misleading titles and thumbnails, whore themselves out by making people comment, "LIKE THIS VIDEO!!!" annotations, or telling people to watch in HQ (which counts as another view). Those who actually put effort into their work and don't whore out for money get fucking nothing. That's how YouTube works. It's about the money. Only the popular people get featured and front-paged.

And Google is a massive corporation, making well enough money to suplement all of Youtube's spending, bandwith, everything. Hello YouTube team and YouTubers, what I can see from all those comments coming again and again is that you've taken away what is precious to people : - the HOPE of becoming famous or seen-

By only showing the same features and popular vidz,you make them more popular but everybody fells like "it's unfair","I don't stand a chance","nobody will ever see my work".

So HATE comes out of despair.

If YT could be a little more FAIR for YOUTUBERS it'd be so great.

I think it's just an issue of mathematics.

They could feature 1,000 videos on the homepage every day and still leave out millions of other YouTubers.

The normal YouTuber gets three views per video, or, if she's lucky, has a circle of friends who watch. Only a tiny handful get plucked from obscurity.

Anyone can set up a website recommending great videos . . .

but no matter who you feature, everyone else gets left out.

I don't have the perfect solution ; maybe to separate "creative contents" and "Video blogs". I'd like yt to surpass vimeo on this aspect, so it could also be a place with credibility for professionals/semi-pros, filmmakers... and not only "buzz videos" about stars etc...
