Pretty cool. The only reason I prefer running Mac OS 8.1 (through Basilisk II) on my PSP is because it runs much smoother than Windows 95 or 98 and is a bit more functional.

You can't do anything with normal firmware, don't even try. Google "pandora's battery" and "custom firmware" and start looking around, there's a lot to find and learn.

If you don't want to downgrade,you can instead install a custom firmware.I'm using the 3.71 M33-2 and i can do everything with my PSP,even use it as a normal computer(Mac OS 7 + Windows 3.1 + Windows 95)

What especially helps to stop the psp from overheating while using homebrew is to open the UMD drawer and aim a fan at it. And no, it won't burst into flames; I've done this.

maybe, but its amazing and not a portal. with windows 98, wifi was released, and USB was finaly taking off, the possibiltys with windows 98 running on a psp....the keyboard, ps/2 to mini usb...think about it...amazing, running MSN (not afkim) converse on the move in real time, and only be limmited by your imagination, and also, issues with ram, possibility to force MORE! RAM into the psp, im currently looking into it

I got the Win 98 on my psp,, well windows XP. But its pretty crappy, i mean its worth checking out, but besides that, isnt too useful, although the IE internet Explorer is descent. And has some old old old school games to play, but most suck or arent worth playing. Checkers was alright but AI was a little sloppy

? haters should just sit in a corner and stay there. this is brilliant. i, myself had a lot of fun with modifying 95 to run on the psp. i gave xp a shot, but the lowest ram consumption i could get was 50mb. even with that there was pretty much nothing to do anymore since everything was taken out. anyways, very nice job! looks even more stable than 95. would be great if you could release the source code.
