I love this movie. I think it showcases how hard the actuality of war is. The ending shows this perfectly, as our country is in distress when we are at war. All of this argument between liberalism and conservativism is just an insult to the message of this fim and the soldiers that are fighting overseas. Yes the war may not be justified, but i personally think it is,a nd arguing over whether we should be there or not is sonething that is pointless and insulting.

Very powerful scene. I think this little gesture helps remembering the film a lot.

What it says is that loyalty to your family is more important than loyalty to your country, I understood that.

However I think the Star-Spangled Banner represents much more than what the current and other administrations have done to soil it.

If a symbol is that ambiguous I would not use it, nor do I like when the flag is show the traditional way.
