When we got homeowners insurance, we had to give him away. I cried for a month it seemed like after that happened. I miss him soo much. He's 2 yrs old now. :(

I used to work at an animal shelter so i've dealt with mean dogs before. but the nicest one in the shelter was this female pitbull who just loved to give everyone kisses. sweetest dog i ever met. I love pitbulls and feel bad for the views people have of them. My brother owns a 90 female and she is the best behaved dog I've ever seen. When another dog tried to attack her she didn't fight back but just stood in between my brother and my niece so they wouldn't get hurt. @MrMolineux You obviously don't rescue animals. I have gone out on a lot of rescues. While some of them are mean, most are just scared and just need some love and patience. They turn into completely different animals within a few minutes.
My husband had a pitbull come up to him while he was sitting on the bench waiting for the bus. He said the dog was huge and just leaped on him, and then started to lick, lick, lick, lick, and lick. The dog had a collar on so probably wasn't a stray. This dog was a really nice doggie. Maybe the dog also sensed that my husband is a huge animal lover.

I love pitbulls and feel bad for the views people have of them. My brother owns a 90 female and she is the best behaved dog I've ever seen. When another dog tried to attack her she didn't fight back but just stood in between my brother and my niece so they wouldn't get hurt. It's sad that they are considered a public menace but it takes a bad owner to make a bad dog. any dog can be vicious.

@lweigle i use to have a pitbull for a pet. he was the best dog my family had ever had. we got him when i was 4, and has passed on since. he was very protective of my sister and I. but yea;' give it a bad owner for ANY animal, idc what it is: lab or anything.. and they can be just as mean.

@MrMolineux You obviously don't rescue animals. I have gone out on a lot of rescues. While some of them are mean, most are just scared and just need some love and patience. They turn into completely different animals within a few minutes.

My husband had a pitbull come up to him while he was sitting on the bench waiting for the bus. He said the dog was huge and just leaped on him, and then started to lick, lick, lick, lick, and lick. The dog had a collar on so probably wasn't a stray. This dog was a really nice doggie. Maybe the dog also sensed that my husband is a huge animal lover.

i love pitblls and parolees cuz tia is strong and confident and stands up for the most misunderstood dog in the world-pitbulls. pits are only feared because white trash train them to fight. i love pitbulls and have had them all my life and hope that tia makes a big difference :) <3

@islezynkeez72 I get what you're saying, but there are naturally aggressive dogs out there who can and will turn on even the best owner at any given time. The pit bull is a perfect example of one. They are illegal to own in most countries as a result.

@TheCeejus lol there are bad owners everywhere the point is not banning these dogs, is advising people that these kind of dogs need special treats to not turn out aggressive, with a shitty owner even a chihuahua would turn out like that. and theyre not banned because theyre aggressive, its mostly to protect them from fighting, bad cases of dogs attacking people are because they were treated like that since puppies and yeah most of them pits, there is no fear for pits only ignorance.

Fearless? Pit bulls are fearless against other animals but are cowards when it comes to facing off against people. This is because they were bred to be extremely friendly to people and the opposite to animals.
If you step on a pit bulls property it won't attack you unless trained to. Pit bulls were not bred as guard dogs.
Anyway, that was a very nice looking pit bull.
