  • chocolate and strawberry man! are driving me crazy

  • i believe he's playing a 1980 fender strat elite with karat electroplated hardware. i have one of the candy apple red ones from the same year. the tone controls and the painted neck where the tuning machines are make it a dead give away.... steve miller's guitar i mean... i didnt really see him use it tho lol. that other guy shreds like a beast tho

  • Why does Steve "GUITAR" Miller play tamborine...and the other guy plays guitar..Can someone explain ? Thanks

  • Is it just me or are they all on coke?

  • fucking ass-hole I get all drunk want to blast some good Ol' Jungle Love, but instead get some recording meant for people with sensitive ears er some shit; da fuck is this SHIT!!!

  • @jbetenbender command of an intelligence beast!

  • @Blueshenry Aw sarcasm; coming from a guy that fails to upload a video with an appropriate volume... kudos man kudos. You've been served by an alcoholic genius!

  • @jbetenbender You be lookin' for Morris Day, all dat Prince shit. This a good ole white boy so, smoke a dube and chill The Tube.

  • @Countrychiddler Why thank you for being chill dude and not a trolling dick like Blueshenry douche-face. You took me out of a stale mood and set me back in the mood for some good ol fashion rock. Now I'll rock n' roll up a dube with a lil hash stick and light it up; aint nothin gonna bring me down now. I don't have a cookie, but I'll give you my thumb.

  • Sounds and looks like early 80's robert palmer-like nonsense. What crap. No justice to the studio version. What poor sell-out fashion sense.

  • looks like the whole band is coked up, except Steve Miller

  • 15 bucks little man, put that shit in my hand, if that money doesent show then you... wait a minute

  • Thumbs Up For Everybody Loves Raymond But By This Style Think Of Him On Crack!

  • This version is incredible. People need to get the fuck over the audio issues and enjoy a band that can actually play live and add some edge to the track. This is pretty damn tight.

  • whoa...too much coke

  • Wow that sucked

  • Its sad that thy tried to fit in to the incoming pop disco with all the flash and suits and shit. They shoulda gone with the rockers.

  • steve miller band rocks, having said that...cocaine is a hell of a drug

  • the drummer looks like he's having a hard time keeping up with that guitarist...I don't know who that fucker is, but he seems pretty good despite the poor production values and a perhaps flashy, over-the-top display....

  • Wow, sorry but this version bites

  • I actually really like this version, I think the guitar fits in well, but that's just my opinion.

  • WTF IS THIS..,

  • the guitar sound like out of tune too many times :(

  • the guitar sound like out of tune to many times :(

  • The guitarist is hyper, like he's on a coke-binge.

  • This is rock and roll dear freshmen...what are you doing, eating escargot while watching this?

And to Gerald Jackson...this is Punchy here...good to see you ...very proud you are still

at it...a long way from Simi Valley and Disco in The Ghetto--but we had fun!

  • I actually love this version of the tune, probably my favorite actually. The dirty guitar sound is perfect and Kenny lee is just goin wild on it lol. At least it looks like kenny's having a blast, steve miller looks pissed and bored in all the shots they put up of him. Can't get enough of that guitar though, so nasty but he rips it apart!

  • @L2TheGlove I agree completely with you, I really like it.

  • Oh come on guys its not so bad.

In give you that the sound is not the best, but i this it still sounds cool.

  • I agree completely with you!!

  • yeah.. I would agree .. this guitarist has a pretty awful sound.... and he is waaay over the top...and kinda sloppy.. the bass sounds like he has a sock under the strings..

too much echo on Miller's voice.. but, then it all kinda falls together on the chorus..

over all, tho, pretty nasty sound.Other than that , tho.... just great.

  • eh not too good, and this is rockaplast, right?

  • the fucks this shit?

  • Not a bad cover @shimokita2, take another Ativan

  • I think the lead guitarist is a bit out of whack on this one, you can even tell Steve seems a bit irritated. If you want to here what this song should really sound like listen an original recording at MRBLAKFOX45.

  • I think they dropped acid then did a bucket of cocaine.

  • Somebody tell "Freddie Van Halen" on guitar to chill out

  • I found this irritating to listen to, and I like this song. It almost induces an anxiety attack in me.

  • maybe you should consult a psychiatrist.

  • maybe you should take this bullshit off here, live shows from the 80s are just plain horrible... just about every aspect of this is poor, especially the guitar effects; if your a fan on them why would you be showing this crap? you people are demeaning a great band by saying this is "Super good." this is definitely not super at all, this band has way more potential, i mean, have you not heard the album version of this song? kenny lee lewis really messed this song up...

  • @Blueshenry HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!

  • @Blueshenry I concur

  • @shimokita2 I know, it's the singer's phrasing, he sounds very stiff. And the guitar part sounds rather choppy and angular, too. It put me on edge. It's "makin' me crazy"!

  • @shimokita2 Your comment I found Irritating to read, and I like youtube comments. Your comment almost induces an anxiety attack in me.

  • @analyzingfunny hahaha. that was funny

  • @shimokita2

It's way too fast, typical of live performances, plus it was the 80"s No?

  • @shimokita2 - totally agree. What a friggin annoying guitarist. Where is Greg Douglass?? He came up with the original lick for this.

  • That guitar is detuned, or to much effect what so ever

  • they are playing this song like the tour bus is double parked outside

  • Hey, ive uploaded another part of the rockpalast concert. Its the Norton Buffalo instrumental. Hope you like it..

    Maybe i'll do more..

  • They are playin fast because they are playin in Germany where the music scene is alot faster then here in the states, plus albums are engineered so they dont sound the same as bands live :)

  • @Toyahlean Thanks for the comment. I appreciate your insight, and it explains a lot. I guess I'm just not used to techno-pop remakes of stuff that we in the states consider as "standards", or at this point, "classics". But I guess that every artist adjusts the feel of his show for the venue.

  • well i dig it!!!

  • First: it's too fast , tempo way off. The riff might be the same as the studio version, but it's to manic to tell. I can play this, but not this spastic. There is nothing worse than having to play a song twice as fast as it should be. I have never heard a good live version of this song. Too much studio magic?

  • hey poopy909 ......flanders is dead.

  • when and where was this filmed?

  • don't take shit so seriously flanders, you little cunt.

  • That solo guitar player spoiled the performance, such an exhibicionist.

  • sounds....off.

    i kinda laughed.

now down thumb me for saying something semi negative?

  • @poopy909 no down thumbs my friend.just a stfu u asshole

  • I'm not your friend buddy

  • @poopy909 ok stfu asshole

  • this is Super good

  • I agree completely !!!

  • steve looks like a used car salesman in this...haha, he rules!

  • Male singing&dancing. Why do you want that in a r&rband..

  • wow, i saw them a couple months ago (posted a video) and they sounded even better! it's cool they still got Kenny n Steve.

  • that guitarplayer is awesome!! Way to go on a rock´n rollshow. Keep it going!!

  • This is how to look like an idiot when playing guitar live. An otherwise good song, Steve Miller always rocks.

  • You guys might not like Kenny Lee Lewis' guitar part here, but know this: He still tours with Steve Miller to this day. Also remember that it was the 80's, the decade of excess. Plus this song is pretty boring to play live, so I can see him wanting to dress it up a little. My biggest complaints are that they're not all tuned together and the tempo is too fast. PEACE

  • fuck man.....relax......you got the gig

  • Use more effects, they sound great, much better than an Epiphone riviera through a pair of Duck amps straight with slide and loud,............ really, more effects........

  • The guitar player blows this because the original is done by Greg Douglas with an Epiphone Riviera and he uses slide intermittently. This "knack/ tommy tutone eddie VH knockoff" has little clue. Greg Douglas had great touch and wrote the tune.

  • That guitar player must be hopped up on meth.

What is he thinking? Really screwed up this great song!

Looks like Steve had enough of him at 1:39.

Know how ya feel Stevie...no place for Eddie VH wannabes here. Take it back to the clubs. And probably did...

  • This guitar part was written in Open "A" tuning and then the studio recording was sped up for the album, so it is a little difficult to pull off live since it just doesn't have the same "sound" as the album. Still some good guitar work here, though.

  • @beatlebeep how did u figure out that it was in open A?

  • The other guitarist in my band actually emailed Greg Douglass and asked him how he played it. I always knew it was an alternate tuning of some sort, but never thought it'd be open "A". Once Mr. Douglass told him that, it was really easy to figure out. It's become a staple in our set, but we have to lug around a guitar that is only good for one song now! Maybe I need to look at the Variax more closely. LOL

  • thanks! so that's E-A-E-A-C♯-E ? I'll try it out. ya, i wish i had the variax, i have a pod xt pro and that's a lot in there.

  • oh yea, thats why he cant do the harmonics part right huh?

  • this is horrible.... wtf were they thinking?

  • I'd have fired him.

  • i know right

  • This is actually pretty disappointing. I don't like the way they play this live.

  • tabber87...what did you ever do that could be considered talent!..Steve's laughing all the way to the bank!

  • that noise in the begining omg

  • no he doesnt...

  • i liked it... its always cool when they add to the lead part

  • this song reminds me of my dad

  • best song of all ime.

  • from 1:06 to 1:10 steve looks like russell crowe. what a jerk!

  • tight

  • thumbs up. good lyrics, super song.

  • Kenny's not screwing anything up. Effects

make it sound a little out of phase but this guy is rock n' roll. Energy. Great tune .Great post.

  • fantastici!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Shoulda tuned up before, arrrrgh.

  • but i think what kenny does here is in the sense of the rocknroll spirit :D

  • I love this song! .. but Kenny is screwing it up! arrrgh!

  • AWSOME!

  • Why does Steve seem so bored for the first couple minutes? Jet lag? Gig was in Germany...

  • 1:06-1:08 classic

  • Would love to learn to play this song on the Guitar (or the Guitar notes they are great)

  • True, he has talent. But. Steve Miller's song is better.

  • Screwed up the song? The man has talent!

  • who does?

  • he just screwed up the song:[

  • They can't keep up with him

  • Good video good ol days

  • thx for posting this great stuff!
