  • How is that a short shifter if its longer then the stock one?

  • @Specialized1993 your dumb lol. the shift pattern is smaller!

  • Would work for 99 civic?

  • @Ge0vone yeah I believe its the same sort of set up.

  • @Ge0vone yeah I believe its the same sort of set up.

  • FYI also...On the new shifter after you pull the rubber dust cover off the little ball joint you want to remove the plastic collar and lube up the the round ball joint of the shift real good. Then put plastic collar back on then the rubber dust cover. That will help with smoother shifting as well. I didn't hear that mentioned in the video.

  • @SuperTechLab yes you are right I didnt even think of mentioning that thanks for the FYI!

  • i have a 96 civic and was thinking about buyin that exact shifter from the vid i found on ebay for about 15$ and i was wondering does it make that big of a difference is it worth the buy and does the boot still fit the shifter because i noticed it was a little bigger than the stock one

  • @ZackPorter2010 ok im really digging the dc sports SS I like the one I got but drove my friends eg hatch with a dc sports one way shorter!!!! the ebay one is way shorter than stock but the dc is way way shorter and yes your boot will fit put the nut on first under the boot to hide it then the knob. hope that helps

  • WOO HOO 10K VIEWS!!!!!

  • Lol, just to Clearify, I'm thinking of talking my mom into getting a Honda , '95 DX. It has 226K on body and 116k on motor. It has a AEM cold air intake and AEM adjustable timing gear. BUT. I want to know, How to handle a Car with a B&M short throw shifter like, Do you have shift differently from a Stock or? And this is more of treat for me and my mother, as i might get it when i get older and it will be a upgrade form this POS chevy corsica. Lol.

  • @TutsFromHell LOL no you dont shift it any different the throw of the shift is shorter like if 1st to 2nd is 10inches and the short shifter is 5inches from 1st to 2nd lol corsica LOL

  • On the stock shifter, there's a rubber boot that covers the ball joints.. Now my question is, if you order a short shifter on ebay, do they include that or you have to use your stock rubber boots? Because mine is bad and they dont have it auto parts store

  • @jun19020987 no they dont include it they should tho, yeah its a dealer part onlt about 15 bucks

  • @1994hondacivicsi Oh well, that sucks for sure... Does end part of the bushings suppose to have some wiggly movements? The one near the C or Bit*h pin? I already replaced the linkage bushings but im still waiting for the shifter kit to arrive..

  • Make sense.. It took me forever sawing the stripped rusty linkages.. Tnx God for ebay for cheap Short shifter deals.

  • WTF

  • @teamprojectzero ........ what.......

  • da new one looks longer fo0

  • the stock one was cut in half via saw zawl

  • @1994hondacivicsi does cuting it reduce the throw,or just make it look better, and is that the ebay clutch, iwas thinking of getting one but i dont want it to break,

  • @spxlazy cutting it just makes it look cool a tru short shifter is longer than a stock shifter but the shifts are shorter

  • I got the blue one installed! pretty smooth and fast shifting if you have one in your car.

  • hell yeah this was night and day shifts!
