I KNEW this would happen... First, Zeller's becomes Target (I kind of figured that several years ago; they carry the same brands), and I'm sure within 10 years or so The Bay/La Baie will become Macy's... Most places that didn't have Macy's in the US were QUITE unhappy when they were rebranded Macy's...
So when our government goes to Washington and begs them to resist protectionism and curb their "Buy American" initiatives because they don't want Americans to stop "Buying Canadian", and if most of the Canadian companies are now American owned, then are they really saying to the American government and corporations- don't buy American in America.. buy American in Canada?
Or how about.. just buy Canada period.. as in the whole friggin place!

We have tons of natural resources that I'm not so eager to part with so willy nilly as they think we should. Ask newfoundlanders what they think about Joey Smallwood selling off the rights of Churchill falls power to quebec on a 99 year lease. Sad part is they renewed it.
