the thing about the LFA is that its a great car and everything, but the best way to describe it is this: its a fine ass collector's item that can perform with the big boys if it needs to....a trophy that can do tricks, if you will....

@quakov Are you kidding me?? You need to do some research. So many other established sports cars murder this thing and they cost less. A 997 v2 turbo S would eat this thing alive. And Ferrari's 458 Italia would spank this thing in accelerating to 60mph. Racing against a $90K 2012 GTR would make lfa owners beg for a refund. Lexus should stick with what they do best and make soccer-mom SUVs and sedans.

@SPMNDK89 i just said in its "CLASS" the listed cars you named are not in its class. 997 is a RR, 458 italia is MR and it did beat the GTR. The reason why i praise this car is because lexus NEVER has EVER built a supercar like this and its their FIRST EVER. Im not disagreeing with you that lots of other cars are better such as the ZR1 or Viper ACR and much cheaper... these car manufacturers (Porche, Ferrari, Dodge, Chevy, ect) have a lot more experience when when building these cars.

@quakov I think Lexus was overambitious with this project. It was in limbo for seven years, the frame was made of aluminum at first, then they scrapped it and made it out of carbon fiber and then they couldn't figure out how to build the engine so yamaha had to step in. All in all the lfa is a bit of a mess. I think lexus is not too confident about their product either, why else would you use a gimicky limited edition tactic on your first run? The Supra was better thought out than this.

When I first saw the car I thought it was awesome- the next generation of Toyota sports cars! Then it was put up against the Nissan GTR35 and the GTR lost only by a hair... 400k or 85k... (GTR35 + Bentley Flying Spur and I'd still have a little less than 200k to spend).
