This Movie Brought back many Good AND bad Memories for me of my childhood. Whole time i watched i was teary eyed. But its just so Peaceful and poetic at the same time.

this looks like a great moving film, it's very moving when they put young child stars in these types of roles where the role of the child gets abuse, just like Dakota Fanning's role in Hounddog. These films are great I love them. It shows the emotional trauma and rise up evil of a child getting abuse and where us adults can learn and protect our children.

That movie was shocking me since I had 10 years. Bone is a children then you can safe every time. And the most sad fact is about the reality behind this movie...
If I was Bone's Mother, the stepdad was dead for my hands! Soon of bitch! In Brazil, the abuse or kids' violent isn't accept!
I just had just watch this movie for the first time and I have to say that this is a sad yet very moving movie. In the end there is a healing process in which Bone finally forgives her mother and goes on to live the rest of her life in peace. In my opinion, I really think that Bone should have kicked that SOB in the NUTZ! It is sad that young children have to suffer from cases such as sexual abuse.
I've only been abused twice in my life, and I don't know what I did to cause it either time. The first was when I was 9...I remember pulling myself into the fetal position begging him to stop while he kicked me over and over and my sister just sat there and watched. The other time was last summer...and I'd rather not talk about it. The memories never leave your mind and they haunt my sleep. I still have flashbacks...where I think of all the things I could have done different to stop it.

I haven't seen the movie, but it looks good, but the book I read. It is so well-written I couldn't stop reading it, i finished it in less than two days.I recommend to read the book first,then see the movie. I found the book at the public library.

Oh this really is a sad movie yet it is still one of my favorites. I hated the mom in it. :P Probably didn't help that I don't care much for the actress who played the mom.

I think that statement could have been worded in another way. Because when it's worded that way it can be taken as if you mean that all black people or mexican people are criminals. Because we're not. also just like mexican doesn't apply to every hispanic neither does black. There's african, african american, west indian, caribbean american ect. So I would also specify that because some of those have very different cultures. So once again just think before you write something like that.

I just had just watch this movie for the first time and I have to say that this is a sad yet very moving movie. In the end there is a healing process in which Bone finally forgives her mother and goes on to live the rest of her life in peace. In my opinion, I really think that Bone should have kicked that SOB in the NUTZ! It is sad that young children have to suffer from cases such as sexual abuse.

I've only been abused twice in my life, and I don't know what I did to cause it either time. The first was when I was 9...I remember pulling myself into the fetal position begging him to stop while he kicked me over and over and my sister just sat there and watched. The other time was last summer...and I'd rather not talk about it. The memories never leave your mind and they haunt my sleep.
