  • I respect this video for showing some 1991 Washington highlights. Best defensive team to ever play ball. Bow Down to Washington!

  • No way should 2002 OSU and their gift wrapped title be on here. It really only comes down to '01 Miami and '95 Nebraska.

  • @rdkirley what are you smoking ?? it comes down to 01 Canes and 95 Huskers ? ummm .... 91 Huskies ? 72 Trojans ? 71 Cornhuskers ? 04 Trojans ? 05 Longhorns ? 74 Sooners ? 88 Fighting Irish? 44 Army Cadets ? there are SEVERAL teams that belong on the short list. every single team i listed can beat the 01 Canes and the 95 Huskers, of course, every team i listed could also lose to them, thats why you can never say one team is the greatest. what about the 01 Wolverines? outscored opponents 550-0.

  • @Dawgmeat117 Look at who your talking about though. 44 Cadets and the 1901 Michigan squad? Thats not even modern football. In the 40's teams would punt on first down! if your looking at the greatest teams you need to look at modern day football starting around the late 60's. The 95 Huskers were so far ahead of their time as far as speed and athleticism that they would still win every game they played today.

  • @NathanKrug1 - using your logic the 2011 Minnesota Timberwolves are better than the Celtics dynasty teams from the 60s. with advancements in the way basketball is played (and black players flooding every roster, unlike the Celtics rosters that were filled with white guys) ..... the '11 T-Wolves would DESTROY those old Celtics teams. when considering the "best of all time", you must group teams up within their perspective era.

  • @NathanKrug1 - the 2008 Huskies (0-12) wouldve easily handled the 44 Cadets, does that make the 08 Huskies a better team ? hell no, the 08 Huskies were TERRIBLE (trust me on this one, i watched every game). im with you on the 95 Cornhuskers, outstanding team .... but do you seriously believe if they played the 91 Huskies, 2001 Hurricanes, 04 Trojans or the 05 Longhorns in a 3 game series they wouldnt lose ? its too difficult to tab one team as the best all time.

  • @Dawgmeat117 That team would not lose!!! Frazier ran for over 1,000 yds and threw for over 1,000 yds that year. That team didn't get much credit for passing because they never really needed to but they had Abdul Muhamid as their go to guy who was incredible! So the team was a two way threat! That team would not lose. and as far as the 05 longhorns goes.... take young out as QB and Texas loses to Ohio st and A&M in 05. In 01 Miami had to have a pick six lateral in the final seconds.

  • @NathanKrug1 in 04 USC barely got by UCLA and Stanford. Nebraska had every game in the books by the end of the 1st. They took down what was thought to be the greatest college quarterback ever at the time, Danny Waurfull 62-24. Largest points margin in a #1 vs #2 match up. That team was the greatest EVER!!!

  • @Dawgmeat117 What about the Notre Dame teams coached by Rockne? And I know about the 1901 Michigan team, holding every opponent scoreless

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 - there are several teams that should be considered in the conversation of the greatest of all time, i tend to only refer to teams i am pretty familiar with .... with the exception of 01 Wolverines and 44 Cadets ... but those are two teams that absolutely DESTROYED every team they played. the undefeated Fighting Irish teams under Rockne had some very close games ... not sure if i would put them in the greatest of all time category.

  • @Dawgmeat117 What about 99 Florida State, began the season #1 ended the season #1

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 - wire to wire looks good on paper, but i dont believe the 99 Seminoles team belongs in the greatest of all time conversation. after all, they damned near lost to an average Georgia Tech team and came even closer to losing to a bad Clemson team. on top of that, their defense was nothing special .... look at the 91 Huskies or the 01 Hurricanes ... both had very good offenses and an excellent defense. i dont think the 99 Noles could hang with either of them.

  • 2011 Alabama team, 2009 Alabama team, 1992 Alabama Team and all of Coach Paul Bear Bryant's teams that lead the Crimson Tide to 14 National Titles 26 SEC Titles without a doubt the most decorated team in College Football

  • @JeremyRCummings Alabama has 8 national championships you dipshit.

  • @Dawgmeat117 Alabama has 14 National Titles, 1925, 1926, 1930, 1934, 1941, 1961, 1964, 1965, 1973, 1978, 1979, 1992, 2009, 2011

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 - there was no such thing as a national champion before 1936, so 1925, 1926, 1930 and 1934 are all pure bullshit. Down to 10. 1941 is perhaps the biggest joke of any claim to a NC. Alabama finished in FIFTH PLACE in the SEC and #20 in the AP Poll (THE authority in 1941). Down to 9. there is also no such thing as a national champion in 2011, the NATIONAL Championship Game was replaced by the SEC West Division Championship game. 8 national championships, not 14.

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 2011 is mythical

  • @NathanKrug1 - absolutely, there is not a national champion in college football for 2011 ..... the only thing the BCS settled was the SEC West Division. what an absolute outrage, im tired of complaining about the BCS, the day the SEC West Division Championship was announced i turned my back on college football and will continue to do so until that BCS fraud is gone. i did not watch a single bowl game last season (outside of my alma mater Washington in the Alamo). college football is dead to me

  • @Dawgmeat117 You stupid ass you apparently don't know your damn football Alabama has 14 National Championships I should know because I've been offered to go to school there and a avid Crimson Tide fan and plus I live in Alabama if you want the years dip shit I can give them to you stupid

  • @XxEpicxDudexX Was all the Selmon Bros. on that team?

  • 2011 LSU Tigers :D Beat the Pac-12 and Big East champs in the same season and they play in the SEC. I think this team could at least keep up w/ '01 Miami

  • Both of the conferences are jokes

  • @Blenderstruck2035 Still got shut out by Alabama

  • @Blenderstruck2035 They lost the National Championship

  • Where are my '90 Yellow Jackets?? You know it takes skill to be the first team to win all major bowls. Just saying

  • Many great teams, 91 Washington, 01 Miami, 99 Florida State, 88 Notre Dame, 71 & 95 Nebraska, 05 Texas

  • We need to combine the 95 Huskers offense and the 09 Alabama defense

  • If you say anything other than the 91' Huskies, then you are mistaken. Like i actually am a lifelong Huskers fan but the 1991 Huskies were epic. Their defense couldn't be stopped. I'm sorry but there is no arguing, Huskies are the greatest.

  • @alberthanan1178 Besides Steve Emtman and Damon Huard, who else was on that team

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27

    1. Donald Jones, Napoleon Kaufman, Dana Hall, Billy Joe Hoburt, Lincoln Kennedy , Lawyer Milloy, Shane Palacoa (dont know how to spell it), David Hoffman. I could keep going but u get the point.

    2. Damon Huard wasn't on the team get your facts straight.

    3. It wasn't that these players were AMAZING but they worked as one well-oiled machine under one of the greatest coaches ever, Don James.

  • Comment removed

  • @alberthanan1178 I finally got the facts straight, Billy Joe Hobert was the starter because Mark Brunell was injured in that spring

  • @alberthanan1178 They destroyed the same Michigan team that year that had Desmond Howard when he did his Heisman pose that same season

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 i know thats my point exactly. they were amazing.

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 dont forget about Mark Brunell and Mario Bailey for the 91 Huskies.

  • 97 Michigan Wolverines

  • 1997 Michigan team. Total shutdown defense, especially with Charles Woodson. They could shut down anyone they wanted to, at any time.

  • @bullrose5 Don't forget Dhani Jones, Brian Griese, Anthony Thomas, David Terell, very good team

  • There is texas but not missouri

  • plus im gettin sick of canes fans sayin there team is better cause their players are doin well in the NFL this is COLLEGE NOT NFL the huskers crushed everyone by 40 50 60 to 70!!! pts why Miami almost got shown up by VA Tech

  • and imma bama fan

  • the BEST?? without no doubt 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers

  • @seanman70 no its the 1991 huskies for sure. They had a defensive linemen named steve emtman that was so strong, he could push 3 offensive linemen backwards at the same time.

  • @tehsolidbeast umm pretty sure the 95 huskers were the BEST team. dominate ievery position had a HARD schedule and beat every team into he ground scoring 50 to 70+ pts per game and beat a very hard Florida team to shame scoring 62 ptshave you seen the 91 huskies?? yea thought so point proven

  • @seanman70 Yeah actually i have watched every game of the 1991 huskies season. They had a defense that nebraska's offense would be lucky to score 20 points on. Nebraska ran an offense that had one weakness. Pursuit and speed. you know what the 1991 huskies had? Pursuit and SPEED. Next.

  • @tehsolidbeast and you would know that right???? Pursuit and speed?? are you kidding me. ok right now im talking to a retarded fan. Pursuit and speed?? at this point youre making shit up to try and prove that that the 91 huskies was more of a complete team. Thats not the case 95 huskers dominated every team they played for against dude dont be stupid anymore

  • @seanman70 No offense can defeat pursuit and speed. Maybe if you watched the best defenses of all time you might notice they all have pursuit and speed. No offense could score more then 3TD's on the 1991 husky defense, they had linebackers that could outrun anyone on the 95 nebraska team. There was no way you could run on the team, and because the front 4 got so much pressure on the o-line, the linebackers would be dialing in on the QB all day.

  • @tehsolidbeast besides the 91 huskies are hardly in the convo for the greatest football team ever. beat Overrated USC somemore then ppl wouldve taking you seriously. you actually think the 91 huskies are better than the 95 huskers you have fallen and bumped your little head man

  • @seanman70 Huskies beat Nebraska in Lincoln that year, let's not talk about how the Huskers got beat down by Miami in the title game

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 DUDE we are talking about who had the best college football season dipshit. THE 95 huskers DOMINATED AND CRUSHED everyone and most teams on their schedule were top 25 to top 15 top top 5 teams and completely crushed florida when florida were the heavily favorites. you have no arguemnet dude. 95 huskers were the best team in college football

  • @seanman70 I know about the 95 Huskers, they won every game by 14 or more. Led by Tommie Frazier, Lawrence Phillips, Terelll Farley, Tony Veland, Christian Peter. Yes I know of the 95 Huskers and how Tommie Frazier was SNUBBED OF THE HEISMAN TROPHY, Eddie George didn't earn it. The defense is still regarded as the best of all time in my opinion. Tom Osborne was at the top of his game in the mid-90's in terms of his coaching

  • @seanman70 I watched the entire season from how they slaughtered Ok. State to the ass whopping they handed Florida

  • @seanman70 Because of how the 95 Huskers defensive dominance, I modeled my defensive playbooks off of how Charlie McBride coordinated the defense that season, PS I'm not a dipshit, I root for Nebraska and also Tom Osborne was the first coach I saw when I started watching college football altogether

  • this years LSU or 2006 LSU team

  • @wolff1277

They have a potential to be a great team of all time. After what they did to Arkansas was beyond impressive.

  • @wolff1277 This year's LSU team has to still beat Bama again, and the team you are referring to is the 2007 LSU team that won the championship

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 they won it the 03 season too

  • @wolff1277 You are correct, they beat what was supposed to be Oklahoma's best team since the mid 70's and they still get in the title game even though they got creamed by an unranked but hungry Kansas State team in the Big 12 title game

  • What team has more stars on it. What team did it wit a brand new coach. What team has been critize all the time. That team is Miami hurricanes

  • I was only 10 at the time, but the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers were pretty goddamn dominant. They utterly beat the piss out of (formerly) my Florida Gators.

  • What the hell happened to oklahoma

  • What about the 2000 oklahoma sooners?!?!

  • @hambone694 I remember that team, they played with a lot of heart, and shut down an explosive Florida State team

  • @hambone694 Josh Heupel was snubbed of the Heisman Trophy that year

  • @GENERALSPARTAN27 you're tellin me...

  • 01 Canes

  • '01 CANES!

  • '95 Huskers without a doubt.

  • 95 Cornhuskers! Strong offense!

  • ok 95 nebraska , learned with osborn after watching washington, with don james, in 91, still nebraska usc 72 notredame 88, no - one could move the ball on the washington 91 defence, get over it.

  • shut up 1991 washington was the best team ever, nebraska 95 should not even be in the conversation

  • @seattlefw190 95 nebraska is the team that most analysts pick as the top team. The only teams that are occasionally picked instead are 71 nebraska or 72 usc. 91 washington was a great team. There's no doubt about that. They didn't have the best defense though. If you want best defense, take a look at teams like 1959 ole miss, 1959 syracuse. 1938 duke. Or even the army teams of the mid 40s.

  • 1904 Michigan Wolverines. "Point a minute".

  • @bobbertska You do realize that wasn't even their best team of the "point a minute machines." They out shut every opponent in 1901. Including winning the first rose bowl, a game in which the opposing team literally quit partway through the game. The 1902 team scored the most points per game of those teams, and allowed less total points then the 1904 counterpart

  • No way..2001 Miami Hurricanes. They were stacked. Jeremy Shockey, Ed Reed, Andre Johnson, Clinton Portis, This was an NFL team playing college ball.

  • @bodhar2000 yeah .... and ??? an unranked and on probation Washington Husky team walked into the Orange Bowl in 1994 and DESTROYED a vaunted Hurricane defense with Warren Sapp AND Ray Lewis to snap Miami's 58 game home winning streak. and for the record .... the 2008 Detroit Lions (0-16 in the NFL) wouldve wiped their asses with the 01 Hurricanes. lol @ an NFL team playing college, can you say "delusional"? 01 Canes were a very good team, but lets not get carried away here.

  • 95 Nebraska

  • washington 91 was, a top 5 team, ever,

  • The world of College Football was/has never been dominated by any one team like it was in 1995 by the Nebraska Cornhuskers...

The 95 Husker's would have beaten most pro teams that year...(and any other year)

Without a doubt.. The Greatest College Football team of all time...

    The 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers

  • @Fireworxs2012 I like your NU enthusiasm, but in real life, there probably isn't one college team that can beat a pro team. Ever

  • 01 Canes need proof just look at the NFL

  • HANDS DOWN 1995 HUSKERS

  • THE 1*9*9*1 WASHINGTON HUSKIES

  • @cwalkman2000 2011 season hasn't happened you retard

  • The 1999 >>--;;--Florida State Seminoles--;;-->>

  • @1warchant

Please. 2001 Canes, would easily beat that ass.

  • @1warchant Wire to wire, Peter Warrick, Chris Weinke, Travis Minor, that team could go

  • ya, that 91 pac ten washington team was unreal, that team took there starters out in first half.

  • @seattlefw190

I was lucky I got to see them 3 times in person at Stanford,Cal and at the Rose Bowl. That team was just incredible.

  • @seattlefw190 and lets not forget they took out their starters at halftime and their 2nd stringers were better then 90% of the teams 1st stringers.

  • 1991 Huskies.....you'd have to have watched them to understand. Even Tom Osborn said they were the best team he'd EVER seen. That along with Rich Brooks, Tom Donahue, Dennis Erickson, and Bo Schembechler!

    #1 isn't even debatable.

  • 95 Nebraska is probably the greatest team of all time. They crushed everyone. They beat 4 teams that finished in the top 10 by an average of 30 points a game. They only trailed 3 times all year and only trailed once after the 1st quarter and that was just 10-6 against Florida. They had it all. I would put them up against any other team in college history and love my chances.

  • 1a&b) 1995 Nebraska or 2001 Miami (Take your pick) 3) 1991 Washington (Best O & D lines EVER on the same team) 4) 2004 USC (Incredible talent everywhere) 5) 1992 Alabama (On defense alone, ask Miami) 6) 1969 Texas (The beginning of the Wishbone) 7) 1945 Army (Unstoppable in their day) 8) 1971 Nebraska (Johnny Rodgers, and an amazing defense) 9) 1956 Oklahoma (Check the stats, pretty awesome!) 10) 1993 Florida State (Begins with Charlie Ward ends with Derrick Brooks) List courtesy of an OU fan.
  • @klewieblu Bud Wilkinson is a complete legend, the records of his OU teams are unmatched, 48 consecutive victories is legendary

  • Who else but the '95 Nebraska Cornhuskers?

  • 1991 Huskies had arguably the greatest defense in College Football history. Bailey and Emtman alone could make a scrubby team national champions.

  • . Averaging more than 53 points per game (including the bowl win), the team averaged 29.8 points per first half - a higher number than the per-game scoring average of many national champions, even including such modern champions as the 2006 Florida Gators, the 2002 Ohio State Buckeyes, and the 1992 Alabama Crimson Tide.

  • The 1995 Huskers also averaged a victory margin of more than 38 points, the largest of any Division 1-A team since World War II, despite regularly resting their starters in the second halves of games.

  • The team set Division 1-A records by averaging 7.0 yards per rushing attempt and also by allowing zero quarterback sacks on the season. Noted for its strong special teams play, the team also connected on 13 of 16 field goal attempts, and it also tied an NCAA record by allowing only five punt returns (for a total of 12 yards) all season.

  • Due to their performance against Florida as well as beating 4 teams that finished in the top 10 by an average score of 49-18, their consistent dominance (smallest margin of victory was 14 points), their record setting offensive performance, and their statistically impressive defense throughout the season, the 1995 Nebraska Cornhuskers are widely considered one of the greatest teams in college football history.

  • when did miami stop tommie frazier? oh ya nebraska won the 94 title. plus didnt the 01 canes almost get beat by a unranked boston college team that year and barely beat two others. and 95 nebraska blew out 3 top 10 teams that year. #8 kansas, #7 kstate, and #3 colorado. and a 62-24 win in the title against #2 florida. there is no other team in college football history with a resume like that.

  • well, its very clear the 91 washington club was the best defence ever, who cares what others say the 91 huskies could stop the 04 trojans, the auburn tigers last year, everyone that watches college knew that was the best defence ever fielded

  • Nebraska is not overrated

  • the corn huskers r the best team ever they r better than 01 canes, 75usc,and 05 longhorns ya they only have 5 national championships and 3 Heisman were still the best and only best team ever to play.

  • 01 Canes THE FREAKING U BEST TEAM EVER

  • Why do people keep saying the 91 Huskies? You know, they did split a title that year with Miami. That means one of the polls though Miami was better. Also, if you watch ESPN's top 25 teams of all time the 91 Miami team is on and Washington's is not. 2001 Miami's team was the highest ranked college team.

  • 1991 washington, miami idiot, we beat down all the comers, oh then we, went into orange bowl 2 years later, and snapped your stupid home game winninng streak, ouch,..... that must of stung

  • @seattlefw190 you dont have to be calling people names asshole. I will gladly give U dub their respect. After all, my whole family is from Washington. They did hit us hard in 94, not 93...idiot. 2000 probably stung worse anyways. So dont be a prick just because your team had on great season compared to my team having 7 or 8 in the last 30 years. Stupid home winning streak eh? You wish you had a record like that. You dont have shit but a fat ass Steve Emtman.

  • 1972 USC TROJANS BABY!

  • The 97 wolverines where the best by far

  • @fancypantschance That wasn't even the best michigan team. They aren't even close to being top 10 teams of all time, much less #1.

  • 2001 Miami. 34 game win streak. 16 first round draft picks in the NFL. Beat top 15 teams in consecutive weeks by a total of 124-7 (record). Btw, the 88 N.D. team? terrible. Beat Miami by one point because of an admitted blown fumble call at the goal line. 02 Buckeyes? are you fuckin kidding me? Let's put 07 LSU in the mix too while were at it. Props to the 95 Huskers too, they smashed even though I hate em.

  • 2001 miami was a great team. They aren't the best of all time though. The highest they could be ranked is 5th at the best. You mention the top 15 games, those teams didn't finish in the top 15. The teams were top 15 only when they played them. Where as Nebraska destroyed 4 teams that all finished in the top 10. Where as miami only played one team that finished in the top 10. Nebraska was more dominant and faced a tougher schedule. 95 nebraska was the best of all time.

  • @gamelvr1 they didnt finish the top 15 because Miami smashed them at the end of the season.

  • @ellisd53562 If the rest of their season was good enough, the team would still be top 15 worthy at the end of the season. Of those 5 teams, only nebraska had less then 3 losses. Syracuse had 3, the rest had 4 losses. Five wins against top 15 teams according to the rankings during the season doesn't compare to 4 wins against top 10 teams by the final rankings.

  • @ellisd53562 Also, 71 nebraska, 72 usc, and 45 army were all better then miami likewise.

  • @ellisd53562 07 LSU??? haha fuck outta here lil pup

  • apparently the person that made this video hasn't heard of the SEC

  • @jayshusker....man it's a debate cause Michigans 1997 natty champ D was the best college football had ever seen.....if you put 1997 mich vs 1995 NEB, would be a great game.....but would NEB offense be able to do anything to the best D known to man....would be a great battle

  • seriously there is no contest. 95 nebraska is the best. 01 miami beat a terrible and overrated nebraska team 37-14 in the championship game...while 95 nebraska smashed a favored florida team 62-24 in the championship game. not only that but nebraska defeated there opponents that year by an average margin of 49.5 points. You can put the two teams together and see who wins..but statistically nebraska dominated that season like no other team has dominated before or after.

  • @JaysHuskers They dominated like no other team OF THE MODERN ERA. That distinction has to be made. I'm not disputing them being the best team. Also, Nebraska average margin of victory was a little shy of 40 points, not 41 points. When the modern era isn't the only one counted statistically, nothing compares to the point a minute machines of michigan (1901-1905). They went 55-1-1. Over 40 of those wins being shut outs. They scored over 2800 points in that span, and gave of less then 60.

  • 1991 huskies, even this years version of oregon would have went backward

  • @seattlefw190 Definitely top 10 worthy. They aren't even the best team the pac 10 has produced. The 72 USC was better. Likewise, 71 nebraska, 95 nebraska, and 45 army were all better.

  • @gamelvr1 Really? '45 Army was better than the 1991 Huskies? That team won a National Title with their second string QB. Went 10-2 in 1990 and won the Rose Bowl in dominant fashion and in 1989, they held Emmit Smith to the lowest rushing total ever in his collegiate career. That 1991 team was the pinnacle but they were dominant for 4-5 years. That 1995 Nebraska team was dominated twice by UW in 1991 and '92. I say that because the Seniors that comprised that team were on the teams UW beat.

  • @CosbyKid - What the heck are you talking about? The '95 team dominated in '91 and '92? Name one starter from '92 that started on the '95 team. Name one player that played in '92 that played on the '95 team. Go back and eat your legos before you come with that ignorance...

  • @sribble1 Nebraska is not a team that played underclassmen traditionally. However, there were many players on that 1992 that were seniors on the 1995 and remembered getting their ass handed to them by UW. Either way you want to discuss it, the Nebraska Option is nothing new and '91 Huskies would have dismantled it. The Bears 46 is just the defensive scheme suited to stopping the run. Nebraska can't throw the ball down the field. One dimensional. Not good enough.

  • @CosbyKid - You're clearly a UDub fan so let the experts for their teams speak. Actually, NU played the best players, often times a freshman. Not one player that played in 1992 against UW played on the 1995 team. And, NU's '95 defense was better than their offense, so UW's inept offense may have had 10 points. NU would have put up 28 at least. Actually, Nebraska had much more trouble with Miami than UW. Your Huskies aren't even on the radar with '95 Nebraska.

  • @sribble1 Name any players from Nebraska that made an impact as a freshman. Tommie Frazier was on the '92 team and I'm sure he never saw the field. Nebraska doesn't traditionally play underclassmen or they didn't under Tom Osborne. I'd know even as UW fan. My Dad always ran Nebraska's offense when we played little league. Down to the formations and the series modeled after Tom Osborne. Coach Osborne did many coaching clinics up here all the time. Miami had a home game against Nebraska.

  • @CosbyKid Tommie Frazier took over for the injured Mickey Joseph and never relinquished the position 'tll the bloodcots got him. BUT, he regained his starting position when he returned. And, to further prove you wrong, Ralph Brown started @ CB as a Freshman, Ahman Green started @ RB as a Freshman, DeAngelo Evans saw significant action, u should know that 'cuz he schooled your Huskies. Please don't make comments unless you're sure of what you're claiming. Good luck in the future......

  • @sribble1 We beat Nebraska in Lincoln and then followed it up with a win in Seattle. Do you remember Paxton Tailele knocking out your QB from the game or Jay Barry running 80+ yards to seal the win? Were you even a Husker fan back then?

  • @CosbyKid - You further my point. If no Freshman played in '92 then how does it translate to your mighty'92 team beating '95? I can sit quiet and let you talk and you beat yourself up. I bet your Powder Puff team in 3rd grade was quite as complex as the National Champ team in '95. and, you avoided my point. It's not all schemes, it's players. CU, Kstate, even Florida had men in position to make plays. They couldn't.

  • @CosbyKid And I laughed that you needed a run of 80 to "seal" a game. The '95 team had it wrapped, EVERY game, by half time. Yeah, your Huskies are puppies...

  • @CosbyKid and,, it's not the scheme, it's the players. Be good at defending the option all you want...your boys couldn't handle a Frazier to Phillips option. Not sure why I'm even bothering with you...better question is why is '96 Florida an option on this video? Now that team got beat up the prior year in the Fiesta Bowl by NU. Talk about one year removed, not four. I've never heard a non UW fan talk about '91 UW as the best ever. Your voice, especially after these comments, carries no weight.

  • @seattlefw190 they lost to Miami in the Orange bowl 22-0. Didn't even score a point. You sure you got the right year? 1991?

  • @ellisd53562 One of the biggest fallacies in college football is Miami being invited to play in a bowl game where they play their home games. The Rose Bowl is in Pasadena and yes, UCLA has played in Rose Bowls but not from being an at large team but by earning it via winning the Pac-10. That being said, beating Nebraska essentially in a home game doesn't hold the same relevance as UW going down to Lincoln and winning. Coming back to win I might add. Can't even compare the difference.

  • @seattlefw190 my bad. thought I read Huskers, not Huskies.

  • 1994 Penn State hands down best team in college history.

  • @JoKeRsObLiViOn420 While they were one of the best NOT to win a national championship. They aren't even top 10 of all time. Heck they aren't even the best team to not win a national championship. That was the 1947 michigan wolverines

  • USC 2003-2005. Yes, they lost to Texas, but it was an UPSET, a huge one, thats why it was such a great game. USC vs Texas in a 10 game series could easily have been 8-2. USC dominated like dynasties of the 60s and 70s but with modern scholarship limits and modern parity.

Sure, it turns out they were cheating like crazy, but it was still the greatest college. football team to ever set foot on a field. I guess that does disqualify them though.

  • Miami has as many national championships by BEATING Nebraska than any other college team has titles in the last 25 years.

  • i gotta say a team that got SCREWED was 2001 Oregon

    Ducks

they could have went toe to toe with MIami

  • @glencoe428 Oregon vs. Miami that year would have been a CLASSIC. That's college football for you though. Or how does one explain how Auburn goes undefeated in 2004 in the toughest conference in college football and doesn't even get a SHOT at the national title. They beat FOUR top ten teams that year. The teams that played for the title that year (USC and OU) had three COMBINED (and one of them, low and behold, was USC beating OU in the title game). It's just BS.

  • @phillyspartanfan Oregon would have KILLED Nebraska

    because Colorado slaughtered Nebraska

and then Oregon takes Colorado to the woodshed

  • @glencoe428 No way. Look at that Miami team. All future NFL players. Sean Taylor backed up Ed Reed. Antrelle Rolle backed up Sean Taylor. Frank Gore backed up Portis. McGahee backed up Gore, and Sean Payton. Andre Johnson Jeremy Shockey and Kellen Winslow. On and on. Christ, they scored 34 points in one quarter then cruised. 2001 Miami is the best of all time.

  • @ellisd53562 yes i agree

but you guys played a Nebraska team that was

    1. Overrated

    2. They didn't win their conference

you shouldn't be in the title game if u don't win your conference

  • @glencoe428 It's not our fault we played a shit team in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME. We would have beat everyone that year.

  • #1 was USC in 1972.

  • my top 10 all time 1. 1995 nebraska 2. 1945 army 3. 1971 or 1972 nebraska 4. 2001miami 5. 2000 oklahoma and 1993 alabama 6. 1966 alabama 7. 1991 washington 8. 2005 texas 9. 2004 usc 10. 1922 princeton and 1988 notre dame
  • @usgitmo33 1972 nebraska didn't do anything. Also, you seem to be leaving out USC's best team. Their 72 squad was the schools best football team ever. Also, 1988 notre dame isn't even in the same league (so to speak) as their 1946 squad. Both teams pail in comparison to the 1946 "mad magicians" (aka michigan)

  • but oklahoma came to a stop, when they played florida,24-14

  • @lilpaniagua07 That was one year out of numerous good years for oklahoma. That wasn't even one of oklahoma's top 5 teams of all time. So what's your point.

  • @gamelvr1 what my point is,is that if oklahoma would of went undefeated that year, everybody would of been comparing that years oklahoma to the 01 miami and 95 nebraska, thats y i said no matter how many points a team scores doesnt mean that they r the best in history, the 01 miami was, because they had talent and heart, and they were hungry and stingy that year,u see if utah would of played florida(instead of oklahoma) that year, utah probably would of won,BUT NO PLAYOFF!!!

  • @lilpaniagua07 doesnt matter how many points??? dude youre a dumbass to be the best you have to dominate on both sides of the ball. whereas huskers from 95 smashed people to death lil pup. played a harder schedule than that overrated schedule miami had and tore the shit out of florida in the NC hanging 60+ pts and you got the nerve to say 01 Canes are the best when they almost got played by sucky ass VA tech fuck outta here with that bullshit

  • if 01 miami played vs 95 nebraska, miami would beat them, nebraska had tommie fraizer as their star player,01 Miami's star player, was THE WHOLE TEAM,they would of probably injured tommie fraizer in the first quarter,n it would have been over from there, miami wins like 35-17,miami was compared to the detroit lions that year,AN NFL TEAM!it doesnt matter how much points or heismans,i garentee u that when oklahoma was scoring 60 points in like 4 straight games, that they would of,destroyed florida

  • @lilpaniagua07 miami hurricanes compared to the suckiest team in NFL history thats what you said since you said the lions thats not impressive dude they would tear that team up like fuckin a bitch in heat

  • ...Play 3rd stringers in the National Championship while taking a knee at your opponent's one yard line. Really. Thats all you gotta do. Oh yeah, not giving up a sack the entire season helps, too.

  • Okay, people, I know i am probably bias being a Husker fan, but if you really think any other team besides 95 Nebraska is the best, than you dont know all of the facts. We played four top 10 teams that year and dominated them. Average margin of victory was 37 points. We never won by less than 14. '01 Miami? had to go to OT against va tech. There are a lot of great teams...but to be the best, you gotta dominate everyone, never have a game in doubt, win the National Title by 38 POINTS, ..

  • @cornoverhorns We never went to OT with anyone buddy. Research.

  • 1991 Huskies Number One Team of All Time!!!!!!! Compared to the Spoiled Children of the mid 2000's, the Children of the Corn teams of the 90's and The U of the 80's, The Dawgs NEVER HAD TROUBLEMAKERS, GANGSTERS, AND PLAYERS THAT HAD TO GIVE THEIR HEISMANS BACK!

  • @markofly76 I LOVE the UW. Followed the my whole life. I grew up and still live 10 minutes from the campus. Quiz me on anything regarding that UW team and I can answer it. Now, no gangsters or criminals on that team? We got sanctioned a year later, Danianke Smith was arrested for drug charges. There's more. I don't mind admitting these things. I've come to reconcile the concept of winning and off the field trouble.

  • @CosbyKid grew up in lake stevens, an marysville..... all about them huskies to me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! since you know husky football i got 1 for you. my neighbor, a pure 3 sport stud in high school, at lake stevens.. wore # 8. played wr for the huskies, never amounted to much but id love to hear ur thoughts on him. ready... brian slater.. played in like85 thru 88.. i believe.. you remember him... plus, in marysville, i grew up with shane an jeff pauhakoa

  • @voodoo9606 All good. I remember Slater. I also remember Hugh Millen and Chris Chandler on those same teams. I also remember Vestee Jackson too. Pauhakoah brothers were studs. My pops played for Lambright at Shoreline. My Pops coached Bruce Harrell who is like family to me. Mark Stewart and Anthony Allen coached me in high school. My next door neighbor growing up was Al Burleson. Nate Robinson, Quinton Richardson and Johri Fogerson are some of the kids I worked with at Rainier Community Center.

  • between '04 USC and '91 Huskies.
