theres a lot of difference between the sound u get when using a pick, in this kind of songs i use a pick cuz u get that kind of bass rig that u cannot get with fingering, anyway i dont like to use picks at all, im a funky bassist, u kno, Flea, i like to play Slappin and poppin but yea mickey way uses a pick u gotta play really hard and have a really nice amp to get that metallic rig
