got mine yesterday love the thing, it has such a broad appeal , my only complaint is the webcam it is rubbish, the quality is meant to be crap which is fair enough it is just that it does not sync the video and voice very well at all

It _is_ full screen. The black bars you see at either side aren't unused screen space, they are speakers.

The thing is too expensive for what it offers. The screen is too small. How long will the SSD last when it is constantly in use. They got limited read/write cycles.

the resolution on the 701 is 800 x 400, if you wait till next year to get the 10" version, its resolution will be 1280 x 800

Expected release is August. $200 is for the 4GB model with the 7" screen. There will be 8GB and 16GB models too. Later there will be a 10" screen model. It comes with a modified version of Xandros, but will have drivers if you want to install XP. No optical drive so you will have to buy your own USB drive. 4 USB ports, SD card slot, VGA out, microphone in, line out. 900 Mhz Intel processor. 512 MB RAM.
