In my own state, my governor has closed down a mental hospital leaving hundreds of the impoverished and disabled out to the coldness of the world ("group homes" euphemism for, "not our responsibility")....but I see THOUSANDS marching for their rights to have sex with their own gender with flags and music, parading and partying.
God HELP us! Why isn't ANYONE speaking up!? Every, single baptized individual should be furious. But, like in the garden of Gethsemane, no one wants to wake up.
What would give any christian church a better understanding of the christian god then someone who has read the bible? And second, wouldn't you need to read all religious texts first (as well as consider they may all be wrong) to definitively say the bible is certainly the word of a god. How do you know other supposed holy texts are not correct?
@endo328 >> What would give any christian church a better understanding of the christian god then someone who has read the bible
Being founded BY God; as the Catholic Church was.
>> wouldn't you need to read all religious texts first
Nope - that is a common strawman advanced by atheists. It makes no sense - the issue of proving one is right has nothing to do with others being wrong.
In any case; your questions don't speak to the point of this video - we'll end the conversation here.
@yeqtltg02 Actually, it is - Jesus Christ specifically says in Matt 10 that He came to bring a sword, not peace. Christ does not call for physical violence, but he does call for war against evil - the most basic reading of what He actually SAID (rather than what people like to THINK He said) reveals this.
@RealCatholicTV Yes, I'm aware of the highly controversial "but to bring a sword" verse. I find it so hard to reconcile that with "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men" and "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you". No wonder your opponents think the Bible is contradictory.
@yeqtltg02 The verse is "peace to men of good will" and Jesus leaves HIS peace (not your defintion of it); Christ's peace is very clearly shown to be the peace of victory, not the peace of accomodation, throughout the Bible.
The Bible only contradicts HUMAN false human views of peace, not the divine understanding of it.
@RealCatholicTV Wouldn't a sword mean physical violence? "Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword", how does this not call for physical violence? Last time I wanted to combat something without the threat of violence I didn't send it through a sword. And IF I was an all knowing god - I would want to make sure that my words were clear for Everyone Everywhere. And IF I meant for non-violence I would not use "sword", I would say exactly what I meant.
@TVCatholic - This is very true. But it does not mean that we sit on the sidelines and watch it happen when we have the means and ability to protect the Bride of Christ in any way we possibly can. We are called to do this - there are no other options.
This is well said. I find this fairly frightening also. She is the protector of the most helpless of her children. What does she think when we destroy the children her son wishes to entrust to her care? She will protect her children. If our nation will not protect them, she will push it aside to find one which will.
Y'know, people down through the ages have been trying to destroy Holy Mother Church, and of course they've failed time and again because individual Catholics heed the call of God to imitate Christ & shine as a light in the darkness. It's always been that way, and it's true today. Our Lady of Victory, protect us.
Since the fall in the garden, Satan has always targeted the innocent. What he can't pervert he tries to destroy. As times of great change approach and/or the coming of our Lord we the innocent always suffer tremendously. The great deluge, Sodom and Gomorrah, Moses survived Pharaohs mass murder of Hebrew children and of course lets not forget Herod's slaughter of the innocent.
Small wonder Our Lady of Guadalupe is named Patroness of the unborn when we look at today's world around us.
Pray for those people who are not in Gods Grace. They and the Institutions they represent only bring harm upon themselves. How I wish they would return to spare them this fate. The decision is theirs to repent and return to God. God Bless.

"Spiritual Nuclear War"? Really? Yes, I'm sure that's what Jesus Christ would have wanted.

God does - He establishes the Church.
Remember; not everything is in the Bible, and the Bible can ONLY be correctly interpreted in light of the Church's understanding.
The fact Jesus elsewhere says "No" to violence shows He is speaking (in general) metaphorically.

Let us dwell on the words of the Pontiff. The Pope says that evil takes many, may forms while Love has only taken One Form; Jesus of Nazareth.
