Good morning, do you like sixties? Listen and pod cast my program " great sound of 60' s " on the site plumfm. Greeting and made blooper in rock and roll.
Salut, vous aimez les sixties ? Ecoutez et podcatez mon émission "le super son des sixties" sur plum fm. Salut et faites gaffe au rock'n roll.
I saw these guys live last night at the Grand Theatre Swansea. As well as an amazing band they are really nice guys. Along with the Union Gap and The Tremelos they met everyone afterwards in the foyer signing autographs and taking pics with people. I will go see them again next year without hesitation.
Nice song ; written by Graham Gouldman of 10cc who was a professional songwriter in the 60s ; also wrote songs for the Yardbirds such as 'Heartful of soul', 'For Your Love' and 'Evil Hearted You'
The company was gay, we'd turn night into day? Maybe you might want to check the 'cream' on top of the milk? Seriously, great song, great group. I get to see them 'live' Sat, nite here in good old 'Findlay, Ohio.
@Arkady63 This song I remember was used in an ad about 10 years ago which I loved so much. It was for a nissan car but changed the song title to no car today. And then they changed the lyrics a bit but still sounded the same way as this. At the time I didn't know what the origin was until I asked my mother what it was. And then just now I heard it for the first time! And now I know how this sounds like originaly. Brilliant.

Their old-fashioned parlance sounds quite nice!
Although the "the company was gay" sounds kind of strange these days :-р

This song is proof that John Paul Jones is one of the greatest musical geniuses of our time. People always forget his session work.

@cioupty LOL,,,I didn't say it's the best single ever recorded by anyone.
raincoatriver 1 year ago
@cioupty No it isnt, it's one of them but Penny Lane / Strawberry Fields Forever is the best and it was a single only, not an album track

An unusual thing about this song is that it hit a new wave of popularity in the underground scene in Paris in the late'80s.
In small clubs and at parties in that town back in '88 this song kept popping up. It was pretty strange.
This is why I went looking for it on this web site. I was a musician there in those days and in late summer of '88 this song seemed to be everywhere.
Nice song but the situation seemed a bit odd.
