  • very nicely done! congrats!

  • whats with the Western supremacy in this ad? small Asian menial worker, pouty, glamorous white elite...??????

How is a consumer supposed to believe in a product that lacks confidence in what its selling?

  • @skyciele I know right?! You hit the nail right on the head.

  • @skyciele Because clearly the ad isn't marketed towards you.

  • I'm still surprised that the damn argument over this video being racist is still being had. Knock it the Hell off, you ruin this video for those that actually like watching it. If you wanna keep it up, do it via message.

...Now's when I recommend that their comments be deleted.

  • @WhiteThunder14 It's called the first amendment: Freedom of Speech. If you don't like it, don't read it and go mind your own business. No one is forcing you to read it, so shut up and stop telling people what to do. Seriously, U MAD BRO!? LOL

  • @WhiteThunder14 Though I understand your frustration I would suggest that these comments not be removed as this is commentary that many people don't see. I know many people Iike the video heck I think it is ascetically pleasing myself but that doesn't mean it doesn't have some things in it that can be changed. No one likes to talk about racial discrimination in media unless they are defending it as we see with VonNietzsche and in my opinion I think it is healthy these things are addressed openly

  • @WhiteThunder14 If this commentary ruins the video for those who like it I would say that is in a way is a good thing. I could just send the guy inbox messages but that would negate the point of drawing attention to how this ad like many others is deficient when it comes to representation of people of color in media. I am not doing this to make my case to him but rather to have an open visible discussion about race others can see not to just sweep it under the rug.

  • @WhiteThunder14 If talk about racism makes people uncomfortable its doing its job because people who have to experience racism are uncomfortable everyday by being subjected to it. My intention is to create a dialogue where there normally isn't any even & perhaps in a small way make others reconsider the things they are consuming from the media. If you just want to enjoy the video your free to, but I don't think that my comments should be removed. I'm just trying to express my perspective.

  • superb music , superb design, super motto ! I love Korean air !!!!!! too bad we can't have a long version voiceless of this music !!!!!! ;)

  • Korean airlines don't pay their models properly.. boycott korean air.

  • WOW...LOVED IT! THT'S VERY CLASSY!

  • .. The ad is targeted for people in Europe and America. Most of the people in Europe and America are white..

I'm pretty sure its more of a "imagine yourself as that person in _____ country"

Stop over-thinking things like this so much and just enjoy it :l

  • This is a great commercial!

  • the lyrics really sound as if they are saying "set yourself on fire" at around :15

  • i would sit by the 1st floor window in that building and just look up....

  • I'd like to have korean air in my country T_T

  • this commercial relaxes me

  • I love the girls in this commercial

  • I prefer "the color of perfection" one.

That one is much more sophisticated.

  • Fabulous commercial. Everything about it is awesome. If I'm ever lucky enough to go to the Orient, I'll take Korean just because of this ad.

  • my favorite part is when they show the attendants walking, so admirable...

  • @xxMarluxiaxxx agreed

  • Does anyone know the designer and the sunglasses worn by the lady at 0:03 ? It looks like Gucci but the logo seems a bit blurred...

  • what's the name of the song?

  • Korean Air sucks! Cathay Pacific is sooo much better!!

  • @awesomeguy529 shut up chink

  • this commercial is freakin weird.

  • @babygirlgoddess- i know right, it would have fit the commercial better

  • I'm not really the type of person who pulls out the race card, but why couldn't they use women of color in this ad.

Is it really hard to find an Indian, Chinese, etc. person to be in this ad.

  • @BabyGirlGoddess Except that you are that type of person.

  • @Maelfyn guess I am.

  • @BabyGirlGoddess If you notice, this ad is targeted for the people in America & Europe. Those white women shown in Shanghai, India, etc are supposed to be American or European tourists enjoying the city or country in a fancy dramatic representation. They don't necessarily portray the "local". I hope I clear out some confusion in your mind.

  • @kentaokabe "If you notice, this ad is targeted for the people in America & Europe. Those white women shown in Shanghai, India, etc are supposed to be American or European tourists enjoying the city or country in a fancy dramatic representation. They don't necessarily portray the "local".

And thats the problem, the international tourism in this ad is only acceptable for whites, even if they were looking for foreign people to represent those countries why no people of color? We don't fly?

  • @rocklee1116 I have to wonder what ad agency was hired for this....

  • @rocklee1116 If you're implying that this ad is being racist, I think it's a very arguable subject. For example, Native Americans/Asians/Mexicans (the majority of American minority aside from people of color) aren't shown in this commercial either. Because racism would be extremely inconducive for good business for an airline, IMO they were trying to keep a theme. I thought this was very stylish!

  • bad ass commercial

  • now this is fancy

  • Best airline commercial I have ever seen. So beautiful and elegant. I want to visit all those places.

  • who needs to fly? just hop on one of these hot giantess' an she'll take you where you wanna go...i wanna go to Shanghai, or Hong Kong

  • I love this commercial because it reminds me of my trip to Beijing, Xi'An, Shanghai, and Hong Kong that I took last year. All the history is so interesting. I wanna go back so badly so I can run on the great wall some more. I definately reccommend going to China.

  • @grgzrgzrg That sounds so fun, running on the Great Wall. :D

  • @WhiteThunder14 Everywhere we went was beautiful. I felt like the Karate Kid when I was on the wall. We went the hard way so it was almost vertical in some spots on slippery limestone. I loved China, especially at night. Neon lights and the bustle of late night bars (we went during the world cup so bars were packed with people watching soccer). Man, I wish I was back over there right now.

  • The legs on the girl at the end of the commercial, in the window, have to be CGI.

  • I have to admit. This is one of the best Airport commercials ever.

  • What is the music??

  • One of the classiest commercials, and one of my personally favorite, out there.

  • The girl in Australia is pretty

  • This is honestly the beat commercial on television.

  • I'd just like to add to my previous comment....dam that babe for India Is hot, woof! woof!.....I've been playing this commercial for about an hour over and over again and now Its time for me to eat dinner.

  • Wow I just saw this commercial on tv and the song Is what brought me here. The song Is good plus The girls look so good, especially like that India chick.

  • Unintentional accurate portrayal of white advantage.

    JUST SAYIN'.

  • @FuDgEBuBbLeZ "white privilege".. my anthropology class actually brought me here..

  • Comment removed

  • tacky as hell

  • FUCK I WISH N/A COMMERCIALS WERE LIKE THIS!!!

  • Korea airline commercials is so beautiful so are their girls. DAMN

  • I only came here to see the New Zealand girl again and again =P

  • the chicks in the commercial are really hot!

  • That chick @ the end looks like Natassia Malthe. She's sexy!

  • honkey worship

  • Does anyone but me feel like having kimchi or bimbimbap now?

  • 한국어 공기는 이상의 160 개 도시의 월드 와이드 서비스와 함께 승리 그랜드 슬램 상을입니다!

  • I love the Hong Kong lady !

  • Comment removed

  • This was trippy Ahaha

  • Trippy, man...

  • This is seriously my favorite commercial ever.

  • @misslaughytaffe It's the most relaxing commercial I have ever come across. Makes you want to hop on a flight and just fly away...

  • no one was asian except for one girl -_-

  • @jac93 Implying you have to be Asian to travel to these places? This is a commercial for an airliner after all. Idiot.

  • @DrJohnBecker I don't think that's the point. The commercial doesn't promote the message one needs to be Asian to travel to those places at all, but rather one needs to be white.

I mean there was no other person of color in the commercial besides the stewardess including the people who were representing places that have people of color. For Hong Kong, Shanghai, Vietnam and India they used a European model what's with that? They could have used more diversity, it is an ad for an airline =)

  • @rocklee1116 IT'S BECAUSE THEY ARE THE MASTER RACE

  • @mackuss There is no such thing as a "master race" your clearly trolling go back under your bridge.

  • @rocklee1116 Actually this ad/ marketing campaign is for white European and American customers, that's why its for America/Europe region circulation. Target market and marketing segmentation. Look it up. This ad is perfect.

  • Comment removed

  • @rocklee1116 Actually you aren't aware of reality or marketing.. you must be a liberal. I'm sure the airline would go broke marketing their expensive services to non target market individuals aka blacks in this case. The primary customers for these airlines are white/Europeans especially since the region is EUROPE AND AMERICA. No reason to market toward South Africans or Indians here. I counted close to 4-5 different ethnic models, so its pretty diverse.

  • Comment removed

  • @rocklee1116 Doesn't change the fact that the primary customers for air travel to Korea are white and/or Europeans especially in Europe or America. Do you really think a company will be profitable going after the few blacks who travel to Korea? After spending millions in ads/marketing? I'm stating reality and facts, while you continue to play the liberal guilt racism card like a typical pinko communist. Again go read marketing segmentation and target markets instead of being an ignorant broad

  • @VonNietzsche Lol,calling me an "ignorant broad" who even says "broad" anymore? Seriously where are you from the 20's? Sir your just making me laugh now. This wasn't about exclusion of African Americans specifically but people of color in general which includes AA's. I understand you have no interest in promoting cultural diversity but please don't retort with once again unnecessary insults, it really just makes you look silly. Good day sir.

  • @rocklee1116 Perhaps you should go graduate high school before commenting, since you clearly don't know that the 20's is not a location but a time period. You make no sense, if this isn't the exclusion of blacks from the commercial, what are you complaining about? This ad is for Americans and Europeans primarily since ads are marketed to a broad audience such as yourself. At least you got one thing right, which is calling me "sir". Now go read about market segmentation and target markets.

  • "This ad is for Americans and Europeans primarily since ads are marketed to a broad audience such as yourself." If this was trying to market to someone like me why would they not put someone like me in the commercial i.e a person of color? Are we to assume that white is the default for all things American? I know about target markets and market segmentation and that is why this ad is deficient, it plays into those concepts negatively. I stated this in a past comment that somehow got removed.

  • @VonNietzsche The thing is that this commercial is perfect going by current target marking and marketing segmentation standards but because both of those concepts are flawed to begin with you end up with a flawed ad. Using a white person as the default for everyone is the center of those marketing concepts & that needs to go. All it does is encourage white washing, discrimination, & marginalization of non-whites in media. It is clear your interested in upholding this flawed system. So sad.

  • @VonNietzsche "if this isn't the exclusion of blacks from the commercial, what are you complaining about?" This is about the exclusion of people of color not just African Americans. People of color includes Hispanics, Asians, Native Americans, Southeast Asians (Indian) Arab,& people of any ethnicities that aren't white. The marketing world needs to understand that to appeal to everyone you need to use people of different walks of life. A mountain of one does not mean a grain of the other.

  • @VonNietzsche You don't appeal to a American audiences by using one type of person because your audience is diverse thus your appeal should accommodate that. If it doesn't it fails as an appeal to a broad audience. Its like using one guy in every commercial no matter what the product is thinking that everyone will identify with this one guy. Its a strategy used to promote whiteness and make it the standard for everything thus excluding all that which isn't white; it fails to appeal to everyone.

  • @rocklee1116 Can you even count? The commercial had at least 12 different models in it or are you stereotyping that all those models look the same? Aren't you a hypocrite? It's marketed to Americans and Europeans. Also Asians and Americanized Asians love Anglo models, which is another reason for hiring those models. What is "whiteness"? It's funny that you already have prejudices and stereotypes, it's called reverse racism. This ad appeals again to primary target demo, which you clearly are not.

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @VonNietzsche I am not stereotyping those women, they could be different Eurocentric backgrounds but at the end of the day they all represent one type of person, an Anglo. If "Americanized Asians love Anglo models" as you claim It's because Anglo is all that gets seen thus it is all they are allowed to "love." What is "whiteness?" it is basically the constant upholding and defending of White privilege and white supremacy. If you don't know what those are you are probably benefiting from them.

  • @VonNietzsche Your basically telling me there is something wrong with people of color wanting equal representation in media & to want such a thing is against "target marketing &marketing segmentation." Guess what those structures are exactly what is holding back better marketing to people overall. Constantly presenting people with the same old "default consumer" is just not going to make other people feel welcome and apart of the fabric of society. You feel that is ok thats part of the problem.

  • @rocklee1116 No dumb ass, going after a small non target customer base isn't going to make the company any money. Here's an example say a company sells houses in France, what good will it do for the company to market/advertise to Amazonian hunters? Seriously your frame of reference is biased and you are unable to logically weigh the cost vs benefit of ads. You're also racist for assuming that white people are the default customer since it clearly depends on location.

  • @VonNietzsche Name calling is a sign of a person who needs to use appeal to ridicules because they have no real argument. I understand that your interested in upholding current discriminatory trends in marketing but to call me names is quite unnecessary. I suppose it just shows that some people would go to quite negative lengths to protect their privilege. Quite sad indeed.

  • @rocklee1116 Stating the truth is necessary, especially since you're a typical broad that can't spell, use proper English nor have any logic to comprehend the facts/reality. You're the one who keeps repeating the same lame material without any counter points. Who the fuck are you to judge which ad is discriminatory? Because you're black? Again this ad features 15 different models of various ethnicity, how do u know that all of them aren't black? What privilege are you talking about?

  • @VonNietzsche Well I think I have said enough already, I may have made some grammatical errors but I am human, so that happens. To say that I am repeating the same material isn't totally wrong but that is because you are doing the same. If you think you are not I think that telling me that I should look up target marketing and marketing segmentation several times suffices to prove that point.

  • @VonNietzsche And now your trying to tell me that one of them could be black, ok if you say so lol. Now it isn't impossible but they aren't coding as black if any of them are African American they aren't trying to represent that. They are passing for Anglo, really I think the issue here is you don't like when people want to see more than just Anglo looking folks in media why because that dismantles your privilege. If you don't know what white privilege google it =)

  • @rocklee1116 Knew you were a pinko communist liberal. It's funny how blacks are doing so abysmal in everything compared to Asians aka model minorities. Why do you think that is? Are you going to blame white privilege for the success that Asian immigrants have here too? Stop blaming other people and take responsibility, white privilege is a totally bunk concept. Just go look at the state of Africa, what a failure.

  • @VonNietzsche I never said I was a communist, and in fact I am not one if I was I would have stated that.

  • @rocklee1116 As a typical moronic liberal you are always synonymous with pinko socialist communist. You're so delusional that you believe the world should be an utopia (look it up) of total egalitarianism (look it up) you imbecile.

  • @VonNietzsche Sir please take a seat your wearing yourself thin. Ok? Bye bye now =)

  • @rocklee1116 You really like to repeat yourself. How about you go learn the distinction between "your" and "you're"? Again you can't debate me, I'm way out of your league.

  • @VonNietzsche Lmao, sure man if that makes you feel better, what ever helps you sleep at night. Take care now bye bye =)

  • @rocklee1116 You're filled with cliches, not surprising since you don't have an ounce of originality nor wit. It's "whatever" and your mother helps me sleep at night, she actually tucks me in. Aren't I so original making mama jokes? Again feel free to shut up anytime now. Bye.

  • @VonNietzsche Lmao, and the bigot clown keeps clowning! Lol I needed a good laugh today thanks, bye bye now =)

  • @rocklee1116 It's bigoted moron and "clowning" isn't a word, unless you consider Ebonics an official language. Here's an idea! If you want a good laugh everyday... just look in the mirror. People like you shouldn't be able to vote.

  • @VonNietzsche Lmao still sending in the clowns I see, thanks again for my daily chuckle! Bye bye =)

  • @rocklee1116 WTF do u mean clowns? It's singular... clown. Dumb ass go back to the kitchen.

  • @rocklee1116 WTF its clown singular moron. Get back in the kitchen. HAHAHA

  • @VonNietzsche To ask who and my to judge this ad as discriminatory is just like asking who are you to claim it isn't. Who am I? I am a person of color tired of the lack of and sometimes complete erasing of other POC's in media, thus I challenge it. I am engaging in this because I have a bit of time to and I think it is something that should be talked about openly. Thats all, if that is a problem for you its because your part of the problem =)

  • @rocklee1116 You have no idea how advertisement work, especially target markets and market segmentation. I don't see discrimination lawsuit pending against this company or advertisement campaign, so clearly you are making an issue out of nothing and the real professionals or lawyers are not on your side. If you want a real issue to complain about go complain about Affirmative Action and how they add 100 points to black applicants for doing nothing. They should totally get rid of it.

  • @VonNietzsche If this wasn't a real issue would won't have worked so hard to defend it =)

  • @rocklee1116 What a dumb statement. I can play this game too. See... if you weren't a raging feminist pinko liberal that had any commonsense, you would have shut up by now, but again its hard for dumb women like you to STFU cuz you believe that you win arguments by repeating the same BS until the other side gives up up realizing that you can't comprehend simple facts with your pea sized brain. Go to a library read about how marketing works then bitch about it.. oh wait you can't read. Blame Bush

  • @VonNietzsche Ok then bye bye now =)

  • @VonNietzsche However I am growing quite board of this, I have achieved my goal in voicing my perspective so I think I'm done educating for today. Anything you say will just be more white privilege rhetoric and there is enough of that openly seen online anyway lol. But if you wish to continue the convo you can inbox me. Though I don't mind commenting on the vid I would like more space to respond if you want to continue.

  • @rocklee1116 It's "bored" again your constant grammatical and spelling errors adds so much credibility and weight to anything you say. You must be a special ed teacher. It's quite funny reading a delusional pinko liberal who blames other people for non issues since you clearly think that every commercial is RACIST and promotes white privilege if it doesn't have a black person.

  • @VonNietzsche I did use the wrong term for bored, it was a grammatical error that happens when people make mistakes. I never claimed to be perfect. Its not just about black people its about people of color over all which includes African Americans. People of color includes Hispanics,Asians, Indigenous and Native peoples, Africans, Southeast Asians and lots of other ethnicities that get over looked. Like the ones that COULD have represented Shanghai, Hong Kong, India, Australia in this ad.

  • @rocklee1116 Actually you probably made more mistakes than making any factual points, hence reflecting your moronic stance. You're probably the antithesis of perfect, hence adopted liberal values. People of color means black, don't expand its definition. Southeast Asians are Asians, why did you repeat it? Hispanics are not a race, they are merely people who speak Spanish. Again go read target markets and primary customers, if companies followed your advice they would all go bankrupt.

  • @VonNietzsche Ok bye bye =)

  • @VonNietzsche That is if I am still interested in accommodating you, this has been quite a good exercise in dealing with people who want to uphold racial oppression for me, so maybe if I am not to busy perhaps I can make time to respond to your little comments in the future. But just inbox me from now on, lord knows there is isn't enough space here to really get into this so you can take the invitation if you like if not then bye bye =)

  • @rocklee1116 Actually I'm done wasting my time on you, since you clearly aren't on my level of discourse and repeat the same tactics that liberal women always use, which is to keep repeating the same delusional BS without making any valid points. If you hate white privilege so much why don't you just move back to Africa or somewhere there isn't any? This conversation is over, you should probably go read a book so that in the future you won't embarrass yourself.

  • @VonNietzsche Ok then bye bye =)

  • @jac93

And she didn't even look Korean =_=

  • I think this is the best KE commercial so far. It's concise and informative! Love it!

  • Several giantesses have left a trail of destruction across Asia and Oceania, leaving hundreds of millions dead, and billions of dollars in damage. Survivors however, have confirmed the following:

The giantesses were really freaking hot.

  • I luv korea i luv seoul i love u korea i want to go to korea i luv korea hahaha i cant stop sayong i luv korea hahahaha i luv korea vietnam and i luv busan and seoul and inchneon airport hahahahahahaha i luv korea (:

  • That looks a lot like the Pepsi logo.

  • @CPFSF a Nuth Uhh!

  • Korean Air, excellence in advertising!

  • Beautiful visuals, one down fall. All the "beautiful" flyers are white and the "help" is Asian.Come to the front of the bus Korean Air.There's a seat for you.

  • This is certainly one of the best ad-campaigns I've seen in a long time.

  • Great ad campaign! I honestly get a itch to board a plane to Asia every time I see one of their commercials. No other ad campaign has had anywhere near the same effect. I think I will start planning my vacation.

  • Remember when you could watch a video without having to sit through commercials?

Remember when music videos were uploaded by users and not vevo?

Remember when all the info was to the right of the video?

Remember when you could rate a video 1-5 stars?

Remeber the famous yellow subscribe button?

Remeber when the users controlled the site and corporations?

Post this in every video and lets start a youtube revolution!

  • Why are the models who represent Asian places white?

  • @TearInTheirHands because this comercial is marketing in all over the world....that's was why they were showing other countries.

  • @TearInTheirHands I guess they're urging Europeans to travel in Asia.

  • @tJyNchoo Indeed I would like to go to Korea but this commercial seems to say "Come to Korea! (if your european)"

  • What is the name of the song? it's so serene.

  • Fringe event occurrences in all the places above?

  • LET'S GO TO KOREA!!!

  • @YrusTrulli beautiful country!

  • 0:20 is the best part.

  • I like that cup. Anyone recognize that pattern?

  • Has anyone noticed that the "O" in Korean Air looks like the Pepsi logo?

  • @yonschnee16 But it's not. It taegeuk...

  • @girolle01 taegeuk shmaegeuk

  • @yonschnee16 Actually the Pepsi logo looks like the Korean Air logo. Korean Air has been using this logo much longer than Pepsi was using their original globe logo. Korean Air's logo is suppose to resemble the South Korean Flag.

  • Triggers memories of my trip home, because I heard/ saw this a million times on the plane.

  • Is there a full version to this song? I find the music so relaxing! (The young guys aren't too hard on the eyes, either!) Thanks to anyone who can answer this for me! GBU all!

  • TeachingsofEvil u ain't even Lyin !! ;)
