This poem by the ancient Chinese poet, Li Bai, describes the feeling of a person who is far away from his or her homeland. A translation can be found in the book, titled "Learn Chinese through Songs and Rhymes", which includes many other traditional songs and rhymes from various contries, complete with pinyin, English translation and relevant Mandarin vocabulary/phrase usage and grammar instructions.

The great poem is loved by many Japanese ppl, too. I think those some simplified Chinese characters spoil it. I hear Chinese ppl in mainland China don't know traditional Chinese characters.
