The Beatdown it was showing is telling you to use B for a cape stun, then rapidly press X to perform a rapid Beatdown move.

Sidenote: Batman: Arkham Asylum made me immune to surprises like the dinosaur popping up. The Lunatics in B: AA were training material for shock immunity.

If you want to get the three tropies at 1:29 you need to have the line launcher and the walk on top upgrade
