  • I'm selling my chapman stick.

Don't hesitate contact me for further details.

  • email me through youtube, user name fboxberger thanks Frank

  • you either love them or hate them!

  • very nice

  • that takes some amazing talent to play, the high strings sound a little weird to me though, tone wise. great job though

  • needs work. a lot of work. keep at it though.

  • this is sick mate

  • rock on mate

  • Awesome!!!

  • you rock homie!!!

  • Thought this was gonna be "Airtap!" by Eric Mongrain. His stuff would probably be really fun on a chapman...

Keep posting videos, I haven't got up the nerve to buy a chapman...exciting instrument but I spend waaayyy too much time looking at videos of it :-)

  • the chappie aint not lie, though its an pie :P

    lol, sweet playing.

  • pretty boring to be honest. poor execution, and poor music in general. if it was thought out a little more i think i'd be more intrigued, but as of now it just sounds like bad improvisation.

  • we're all pretty sick of blues-based pentatonality at this point. it doesn't matter what you're playing it on.

  • It's not a bass. Just sounds like one. It's a Chapman Stick.

  • its like a mini arp :P

  • love your chappiez...

  • Whate f*ck !

    AWESOME !!! ;D

  • omg... amaizing!!! ..awesome!

forgive me.. but.. btw this bass looks like a fallus xD

  • that would be a fallacy

  • A little sloppy. It seems as if you didnt put much practice into this tune. I can see the skill though. Good job man.

  • is this instrument hard to play???

i think that this instrument is hard to play but i should ask

    sorry for my bad english

    PD: great instreument!!!

  • It's pretty hard to play. Almost everyone that plays touchstyle instruments had some background on another fretted instrument. It would be kind of overwhelming if you didn't.

The action (distance between the string and the fret) is lower compared to a normal guitar so that makes it easier to tap.

  • Andy rocks!

For another great innovative instrument you have to check RHYTHMTANDEM.

  • mike hedges**

  • he has mick hedges on there like 4 times

    evendentally he likes mikey

  • totally awesome chops, that chapman is fresh

  • No Adrian Belew?? nice vid though.

  • Did you type all that?!:O

    Nice playing btw.

  • Jimmy Page, Steve morse, <3

try Richie Kotzen and Greg Koch ; )

good work by the way! Rock&Roll

  • You said jimi hendrix twice and timothy mirth i beileve

  • and B.B. King lol

  • B.B. King deserves to be mentioned twice

  • Thanks for the post :) you have so much tapping instruments :) Cheers!

  • dude no paul gilbert wtf

  • This isn't Andy Mckee : \

  • i can't believe you have kurt cobain listed as one of you're fav guitarists!?!

the guy was rubbish. you can say lots about his song writing or even his performance but surely not his guitar playing, what did he do?

strum chords and not very well

he mentions in his songs how nirvana where the shitist band to come out of the whole seattle scene.

    and i have to agree.

  • I agree, I am takeing him off

  • Comment removed

  • @thehornboy YUP RUBBISH DRUGGIE AND POSSIBLY GAY!!!

  • great performance

  • hahaha it s not a guitar ;P

  • cool video .. cool music .. 5 stars from me ..

    your friend jeff ..

PS .. eh .. i really thought i was one of your favorite guitarist ..

    i'm hurt man .. really hurt .. :: sniffle :: haha jk

  • this is ok man. cool that you can walk a simple bassline and do some cool licks with your right hand.

you need work, check up on stanley jordan. he does this chapman stick tapping business on one guitar with low action. and sounds good at it

  • You might notice a difference between the playing of the guitarist you named and the many guitarists that he has listed under the description of the video.

  • um.... no not really lol

  • yeah, his list is full of guitarists that are actually good lolz

  • sounds pretty good, work on cleaning it up a bit, but great effort. keep working at it man.

  • no ritchie blackmore ???

  • great shred-vid!

  • ????

  • awesome

  • my god!

  • no matt bellamy?

  • What's holding up the stick??

  • anyone notice that on the description bar he listed jimi hendrix twice

  • jimi hendrix. eddy van halen, steve vai, b king, eric clapton were all listed 2ce. theres probably more

  • Yea i noticed that to.

  • slash said that there no guitarist thats stand out these days. the reason for that is that no one plays the style of music that wa splayed when slash was around. back then it seemed to be just about a solo when these days there seems be more to a song than a solo. which is why no guitarsts stand out today

  • Slash is an idiot, and a statement like that coming from a pretty average rock player is doubly laughable. If you just surf this site you'll see plenty of outstanding guitarists who he'd beg for lessons if he had half a brain.

  • Your are so right

  • slash an idiot ? ... he has wath nobody can learn to have ... you born with that ... "that" its personality, awesome stage prescence, great felling in solos like november rain ... those things touch ppl ... the guy can play 3 stupid chords and ppl go crazy ... that's a fucking rock star ...

  • I don't deny that he's a star, with the quality of "presence" that celebs often have. Having "star quality" and a brain or musicianship are unrelated (pick up any tabloid to confirm). The point is, he's an okay musician. I'm sure there are thousands of guitarists that he's never heard of that stand out more; but don't have the opportunity to play stadiums.

  • i couldn't agree more with your comment sir :)

  • john petrucci would take anyone on that list

  • slash is no loser or overrated, and jimi hendrix is literally half the list, hes there at least 5 times

  • wtf man. who does that

  • i would have put slash in that list, and john frusciante, and noel gallagher

  • wheres kirk?

  • No Slash On Your List? :O

  • slash is overrated and a looser

  • so are you.. slash is amazing and has a taste in music, unlike you..

  • You know you put Steve Vai like 4 times.

  • I think that was the general idea.

  • nice warr guitar! and even nicer solo!

  • u hav a lot of fav guitarists

  • dude...

  • God,you are realy awesome !! Amazing stuff, just like Tony Levin ! Too many strings on the stick thou. Get rid of 11 of them, it will make your great music even better

  • I was thinking the same thing... Tony Levin YAy for liquid tension!

  • sounds like elevator music to me

  • That is pretty amazing. How long did it take you to master that?

  • I had only been playing 4 months when I recorded that ...thanks Frank

I have been playing 1 and a 1/2 years now...

  • Really Good I like the Song You ROCK!!! But the bass looks kinda weird. But it's not all about looks Right.

  • Have you heard of Tony Levin of King Crimson? Check him out. He plays a damn fine stick, as do you, sir. Great work.

  • ive maet tony

and my dad is good friends with pete levin

but totally agreed tony is insane

  • god...

  • are you shitting me??? oh my god...that is astounding

  • your'e fu$·% GREAT DUDE!!!!, you play the 12 strings really good!!! I like your music!!, cheers'!!!

  • your'e fu$·% GREAT DUDE!!!!, you play the 12 strings really good!!! I like your music!!, cheers'!!!

  • How is this possible?

  • ill stick to me 4 strings thank u very much

  • BB king's one of your favorite guitarists twice :p

    great playing man!

    I really envy you ^^

  • stevie ray vaughn and steve vai.

  • and Eddie Van Halen twice

  • 12 STRINGS????? shit they stole my idea

  • tooooga toooga toooga 2000!!

  • must take like an hour to tune lol

  • Thats just what i was thinking! lol!

  • who knows how long it takes. maybe gibson came out with a 12 string bass that tunes itself, just like that other robot guitar lol.

  • great playing!

  • must be hell to string

  • The Stick is a nice instrument. I know my complete knowledge of players is limited, but starting with someone like Tony Levin is a good start.

  • This is not a stick

This a fat log cut in half

  • nice one

  • Nice!

  • I wish people would spend the two minutes it takes to research something as amazing as the chapman stick.

A busker in London plays it, so I saw it on the tube once, absolutely amazing.

  • is that chick, chick sound part of the shtick?

  • feckin cool

  • pwnmaster just got pwned

  • ya they kind of always say that, not original mate

  • very cool bass

  • CCCCOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • amazing song dude

but wtf? seriously, did u break the end of the guitar for fun?

  • it's meant to be like that (:

thats how it was made (:

    its special ;)

lol think about it if he had broken the end of it

then it wouldn't sound right would it (:

  • Nice playing, killer bass.

  • lol awesome instrument!

  • that was cool, but... how the hell is he holding that thing!? i can't see any straps lol

  • i think its conected to his belt.... and his top hand it just balancing it cause its not moving from his belt and where the bass is his shirt is lifted up a lil there so thats my idea

  • yeah i think you're right

  • its a stick wit strings ?_?

  • Dude3, I soo want a Chapman stick dude

    !!!!

  • looks like a cigar

  • nice solo!

  • ive never saw something like that before fucking wicked.

  • so this instrument can play both the low and high notes? play the bass and the guitar?

what's the diference so for the warr guitar?

  • There is no real big difference, the Warr guitar copied this Guitar(Chapman Stick)

  • Keep practicing. Someday maybe, the riff shows promise.

  • Someday?? what are you talking about. This guy is on it!!! Get Leno on the phone right now!!!!!

  • Look at Greg Howard Band. Several of the other Chapman Stick entrys show much greater "feel" with the instrument. This is an opinion only.

  • He has only been playing for a year, those other guys have been playing for 20 years, just think what he will be like in another year... also he writes all of his own stuff and doesn't where that dorky neck strap like all of the other players...

  • you mean hes carrying it while playing? man thats gotta make it hard.

  • everytime i see a 12 string it always make me smile..who invented this? precious!LOL

  • It's a "Chapman" Stick. . . that should give you a clue.

  • hate to sound like a broken record but thats a stick where's the body.

  • Yeah.... I see videos all over youtube that say they feature basses, but it almost always seems to be a stick... learn to categorize musical instruments correctly, people.

But still a great instrument. Been saving up for one for a while now.

  • Guitar's don't need bodies, bridge, strings, pickup(s), fretboard and some form of tuning iup at the head is all they need. A body is usually just to make it look pretty and hide all the wiring etc.

  • actually the body defines a lot of the tone of the instrument

  • It's a fucking chapman stick.

  • Thats an awsome bass. It is trully just a stick. That thing must be a pain to restring. Do they even sell packs of 12 strings?

  • i have no words..... great!!!

  • hehe if you got a 12 string bass you might as well buy a nrmal guitar n play blues no?

  • Lol, thats a stick, not a bass nor a guitar.

  • itsnot a bass! lol its a chap man stick

    cant you read :P

  • what bass? all I see is a guitar haha

  • That's totally sick, sounds great. I bet strings for that aren't cheap.

  • bass's shoudl stay between 4-5 strings

  • that's not a bass fool.

  • Yeah sucka its a Chapman stik fool. Sucka.

  • hiyanoobs, you are obviously not a bass player. More strings = more fun :)

  • what 4 and a half strings? you sir are a noob basses can be from 4 - 12 strings.

  • I lol'd

  • That must be a load of fun to play, where can I get my hands on one of those?

  • ebay, there are three for sale right now...Frank

  • nowhere else ? :(

  • ...Dont buy it unless you've tried it, i hear it is fkin hard to play.

  • Thanks, I was actually curious so as to why they aren't sold at retail outlets.

  • wow... never seen a 12 strang bass b 4

  • not a bass fool

  • I there any need for the "fool" ? This is a fairly rarely seen bit of kit and people done "know" them. I stick by what I say its an instrument that doesnt know what it wants to be...a guitar ? or a bass ? If it was an efficient bass Tony levin would use one all the time instead of a Stingray. Its a bit of a novelty instrument IMO.

  • very cool, mesmerizing, Thanks

  • Must be hard to play but sounds a bit messy ! Its an instrument that doesnt know what it wants to be.

  • he's just a bit messy. the instrument is very unique and shouldn't be seen as "trying" to be something else.

  • that was ok

    but no farther than that

    nice bass btw

  • i have that same t shirt lol

  • wow i need one then i can play werever i may roam!!

  • very cool, i wish i had a bass like that.

  • your are very good my friend!!! i like your bass!!

  • eisai polu malakas file. Edwses ta leftakia sou gia na pareis ena baso pou moiazei me kauli? eisai malakas alla oxi mono. Eisai xontromalakas

  • xaxaxxaxaxa grafto re sta agglika den katalavenei xaaxxaxaxaxa

  • like a shit. sorry

  • looks ridiculous, 12 strings

  • thats insane

  • Great talent :) But I stick to my basses to :)

  • i dig the funky beat, man.this is great.

  • talk about crazy. Dude your awsome

  • how long you've been playing

  • I have been playing the Stick for 18 months, thanks Frank

  • did you played any instruments before?

  • yes I had played guitar for many many years...thanks Frank
