  • I built a particle accelerator in my backyard, and I I've worked it all out !, If you fire little rocks into each other at higher velocities, they break up into even smaller little rocks. MYSTERY SOLVED.

Also, "I built a gravity-wave detector in my swimming pool." And discovered: "gravity-waves are actually cosmic rays," because, space, time and gravitation have no separate existence from matter. Physical objects are not in space, but are spatially extended, sending out ripples of spacetime!

  • @jomill78 I dont know where you got that figure from. The cost of the LHC is more like 10 billion USD not 30 Billion USD. The ISS cost 50 billion USD plus the same again to run it. I think the LHC has done more for science, education, technology and international relations than the ISS, but that is just my opinion.

  • @zettavolt 10 bill u think ...you are wrong last I heard it cost 4 bill to fix from last problem and 17 bill to build and 300 mill every 3 months to keep up... not including payment for the scientist... some of witch get payed over 500k a year... and you are dead dead wrong about the iss...I cost 63 mill per person every time we go up there and 3mill per week to keep it up not including the pay for the people on board who make over 7k per week.. lol the mini LHC on the ISS 2.5 bill

  • @zettavolt It would be nice if the stuff was that cheap but my figures are way way closer than your....I'm not mad at you but, I do wish peopl would look in to the cost better so we can see how they are steeling the tax payers money, I know a lot of people that are way better scientist than the ones they have working at the LHC that would do it for 1/10 the pay....1/10 ,....and i know engineries, and mill workers and carpenters, that could build nuk power plants for 26$ a hour,

  • @zettavolt do the math it doesn't come anywhere close to a bill let alone 3 or 4 or 10 !!! so where's the money going ???!! how many hours can you get out of ...lets say 40$ a hour,.....with 1 bill thats enough for over 600 people working 40hr a week with over 950 mill left....I said over 950mill left...wheres the money going???...stop defending them... how do they get over a bill...???? let alone 10 lol...I equipment.. I't doesnt take a mill to build a cold resistant flashlight...think about

  • @zettavolt The faster than light neutrinos are interesting, but I exspect more than that I don't expect the Higgs but i would like to see something else as interesting as the faster than light neutrinos...like maybe Dark matter info.....(the higgs is the dark energy, witch is not the same as dark matter ), and thw LHC web site needs to get better at it's updates, insted of the kid stuff and the same old talking that they did befor the thing was up and running, I need meat not milk

  • 30,000,000,000 dollars...was it worth it...?? could we of built a new space station for that? think about it

  • @jomill78 yes we could, but thanks the LHC one day we will perhaps have hyperdrives....

  • why is the video truncated? upload problem? Why the dual-conical shape? The other LHC "big bang" videos don't show this shape...

  • Weird... I was expecting a much more chaotic pattern yet I see perfect circles everywhere around the collision! How come?

  • @loupax Not sure about the exact explanation, but I think it has something to do with magnetic field which contains the particles in LHC detectors.
