I used to respect Newt Gingrich. No longer though. Doug Hoffman is clearly a better choice than either of the other candidates.

A strong argument can be made that RINOs are worse than Democrats, for at least if the latter get elected, their brand gets tarnished when they put their Looney Left policies into place.

She has said she supports card check, she won't say shed oppose a health care bill that raises taxes or includes abortion coverage, and, according to a National Review reporter who tried to question her, is "..so reluctant to answer questions that she has someone with her campaign call the cops when shes questioned by a reporter who is (if I may say so) polite--if a bit persistent." But politics is no longer as "local" like it once was, especially national politics. Newt has a point. A "conservative" democrat will ultimately be brought into line by Pelosi. Exhibit A: Cap and Trade and the "Blue Dogs" A liberal Republican will be be pressured to vote conservatively even if his/her personal views are more liberal than most conservatives are comfortable with. Yes, Olympia Snowe may be an exception to the rule, but where is the greatest risk?
