  • Dude,

Great Video! I loved the information. Very Very help full, clear and understandable. Thanks

  • Thanks ...

  • hi wampcat, I want to get more overdrive from my sd-1. And if i understand correctly i can do that by changing the R6 and the C3. When you say by doing that you get more gain, do you mean more amount of overdrive? Sorry about my english. This is very interesting, thank you

  • Where's part two?

  • How can I install an oc44 in the clipping section (insted of a diode) with the three legs of the transistor.

  • Hi, how can I install an oc44 in place of a clipping diode, since the oc44 have 3 legs and a diode 2. Thanks

    JP

  • hey i was just modding my sd-1 to be more like a tube screamer and now the tone knob has absolutely no effect. Do you have any suggestions

  • SD-1 is the clear winner in my book.

I've not found a single OD on the market at any cost that I like better...at least for Strats.

  • Boss SD1 VS Ibanez TS9

    winner?

  • @christianarestegui

depends on the sound you want, the sd1 can get a little heavier if needed

  • does R mean resonator and C mean capacitor? and what exactly are the triangles

  • @Wattsy97 R is resistor

  • Where can I find the exact SD-1 schematic that was used in the video? I've searched the internets and the only one I can find is a smaller, less detailed version without component names or the drawing of the board. Great video, can't wait to open up my pedal and get tinkering!

  • thanks dude this really helps me understand what the components do to the audio signal

  • between the TS9 and SD1, wich is better?

  • Great explanation Brian. Thank you very much!

  • Incredible DIY video! You serve the community well, sir. Thank you.

Did the schematic change on FreeInfoSociety? All values are present, but component names are not. Thus the video is harder to follow.

  • thanks for the info, hopefully this will help me find my tone.

  • very nice and helpful!

    please post some more! TKS

  • is it possible to produce a guide on Boss MD2 Mods?

  • very good video, thanks

  • very interesting...thanks! One thing though, semiconductors (transistors, diodes) are made from silicon (sand) not silicone!

  • good job!!

    Please look at my videos.

  • Good job, Brian! Love it.

  • nice nice
