Huh? Who uses transparent windows for coding? The last thing we need is something that makes the code harder to read. Transparent windows may be pretty, and color based transparency is a good hack for making legacy apps transparent, but I don't think it would be useful for coding at all.
This is useful, mainly for applications with a certain background, like a Terminal window, and you just want a certain part of the window being transparent insted of the whole application
Not all all. I always wanted to keep only certain parts of the application transparent insted the whole window. This fits perfectly to many of my daily needs.
I found it very useful to see the other side of the cube while on kdesktop.

No Kurt, no it's not useful because you will still have that window's border showing. In any case this is, yes, very useless.
