  • what beef is that?

  • @rizkizaman

It is beef shoulder, is that what you are asking?

  • Wanted to know how many servings does the ingredients make?

  • @papermanmusic

    This makes 12 servings.

All the ingredients are listed under the video, just click the "show more"

    Thank you for your question!

  • I Love it

  • @Monira82

    Thanks!

  • Bravo!

  • @enabee

    Thanks!

  • I like adding to the ground beef also so it doesn't come out like granules in the sauce. May I also recommended adding a package of pepperoni to the beef mixture. Grind up in a food processor add to the mix and brown in a skillet as you did. It reallllllly amps up the flavor.

  • @KissHope

That does sound good, thank you for that!

  • nice

  • @youcreatea

    Thank you!

  • you ate that all by yourself huh ??

  • @New9rleansSweetie

  • @yannylane

I wish I was there with you, yum!

    @freitasex

  • @tjrn73

  • @freitasex My Co-Workers just loved the lasagna :)

    Thank You.

    From Pomona,Ca

  • @RedLaserBeams

    Wow, thanks!

  • I was looking for a 'how to make a lasagna' video and this one is perfect. It has the description and it's complete understandable unlike some other videos they make. Me and my mom made the lasagna just like you did in this video and followed your recipe. We went to the store and bought all the ingredients that were in the description. Worked perfectly! Lasagna was very tasty!!!

  • @Jecky034

Thank you Evelina, maybe I have a couple other things you would like on my channel and I hope to hear from you again.

    Happy New Year!

  • i use cottage cheese....:)

  • schnucks cheese! are you in missouri?? (i live in st louis)

  • @devilzfood

I live in Evansville IN, it is just a hole in the highway.

There are Schnucks stores here also!

  • how much does it cost to make the lasagna?

  • @cloud999999999999

I did not pay attention to how much I spent at the store 3 months ago when I made this, I apologize but do not know.

  • Can u add sausage?

  • @keysofluvher1

You sure can, thanks for your question!

  • you don't use the white wine before the tomatoes??

sorry but there is not ricotta...mozzarella and pecorino in the true lasagne... :(

    i'm from italy..near "bologna"

    anyway i think it's a good recipe!

    sorry for my english!!

  • I've tried this! But instead of ricotto, I used cream cheese. Delisshhhhh!

  • @darksushiabe

I will have to try that, thank you!

  • error = hour.

  • I am definitely going to try this. The fact that you let the sauce cook for an error let's me know this recipe is so good!

  • @MsLeopea

    thank you very very much!

  • this looks delicious! ~adam

  • @cookwithadam

Thank you very much Adam, I really appreciate that!

  • I don't like ricotta or cottage cheese..I use cream cheese instead when I make my lasagna.

  • @tiffharr

Cream cheese, very very interesting, sounds pretty good!

  • @freitasex its DELICIOUS!! and the cream cheese melts right into the sauce...you should give it a try

  • looks great and all and im sure its tasty, but whats the purpose of the bread crumbs..to tighten the sauce up?...if so i think i'd prefer to skip that step..otherwise nice recipe

  • @4581mikie

The breadcrumbs are the meatball theory... breadcrumbs make meatballs tender and so then so it does to the meat mixture .... even though I did not make meatballs.

    Thank you for your question!

  • You always make me sad I'm a starving college student :( But looks DELICIOUS

  • @WolfEye363

Hopefully when you are old like me, you will be making all kinds of money with your degree!

    Thanks so much for watching!

  • wish there was "smellivision"- lol @ how u took the time to savor the first bite..will try to make lasagna like this one day..

  • @NiVeA5678

I hope you do make this someday, thank you Brittany!

    Thank you my friend.

  • can you skip the hour sauce cook time.

  • @jenniferskull

I cannot skip it, but you sure can!

    :-)

  • @twish1999

I would be honored if you did have a go at this :)

  • @freitasexI usually use a white sauce in the layers but i think using the cheeses you use would make it exceedingly tasty... i will let you know how it turns out

    :-)

  • @freitasex

Ok, i made your lasagne today and boy it was good!!!

    thank you

    :-)

  • @twish1999

Aw, thank you Trish, you make me *smile*

  • @freitasex

My daughter enjoyed it too... the only thing i did different was to use cottage cheese (i think you did suggest that), but it was excellent

  • Hi do you grow your own herbs?

    Excellent DISH!!!!

  • @TheKjify

Yes during the summer months I do grow herbs in small pots outside.

My parsley is gone because some caterpillars found it and ate it all ?(

  • Michael, that look delicious. I'll cook it for my parents this week. You forgot the intro for this video, Doesn't bother me. Just so you know.

  • @TheCarltondry

I do not use the "intro" anymore, I apologize for that.

YouTube is picky about the music... at least they are picky with me and want to know everything.

I hope you do make this, it is very very good :)

    Thanks!

  • man i love your vids yoiu opps papercuts boowdaddy jb and hallsys mr some drunk and so on (RIP JASON) you guys entertain me ,and a bunch of cookin dorks ajajajjajajaja hope to get my own vid up soooooooon thanks buddddddddy cheers

  • @knothole5

I feel very badly about Jason, he did not want any visitation or services, according to the local newspaper.

I truly considered Jason a friend and was trying to help him get more subscribers and more importantly more views... I very much wanted him to become a YouTube Partner, not that I personally could do a lot, but that is what I wanted for him.

I would be very interested if you did do some videos... so I subbed!

  • @freitasex thanks should have one up soon

  • @freitasex whos jason

  • @turboturboturboo

    Jason was HalsysKitchen

  • @freitasex woww i didnt kno howd he die?

  • @turboturboturboo

Nobody is saying (at least to me) how he died.

  • I have an idea.....you could bring your sister the other lasagna!!! How's that for an idea? LOL Love you, brother!

  • @myrasmedia

    Sure, ok!

  • That looks great, I have never added bread crumbs, I will try that next time.

    It look yummy.

    Lauren

  • @justwant2bhappy

The bread crumbs are the meatball theory.

They absorb flavors and extend the meat sort of.

So I eliminate the step of making of meatballs but get that flavor.

    Thanks Lauren!

  • Dang...hungry now... Good video.

  • @ToxRoxDu

Well then you must like lasagne, thanks!

  • Thats a good looking batch of Lasagna!!

It is not easy being cheesy!

  • Why do you do this to us?!

  • @behappiful

Pure torture, that is why, lol, thanks!

  • @freitasex

No problem, and I'll be sure to make this some day!

  • *drooolz*

  • @MikesGamerGirl

    Thanks!!

  • I could never pull of this much organization in making a video, much less making a lasagna AND a video simultaneously :)

Pan's an All Clad isn't it?

  • @ChristopherMast

I love my 3 pieces of all clad.

It does take longer to cook when recording for video, but it is worth it.

I know you can do it, you could make a new channel CMCooks or something!

  • can i use mozzerella instad of ricota?

  • @turboturboturboo

Well sure, just use more mozzarella then, great idea!

  • Home cooking at its finest right there, beautiful!

  • @SeansFood

    Thank you very much!

  • @drkangel762

I used to collect all kinds of vintage bowls, plates, tumblers and dishes etc.

I stopped spending all that money, I have stuff in boxes that will never get used.

  • I am starving a lot. Thanks for sharing Michael.

  • @GCgame

Please do not starve to death!

  • Absolutely amazing man love your vids, lasagna is one of my favorite foods of all time and i will definitely be picking up the stuff to make this tonight when i go shopping cant wait!!! keep up the good work man!!!

  • @DXDanselasDX

    Thank you :)

  • omg i am so making this tonight

  • @pinklily07

I hope you do make this and thanks!

  • Lasagna is one of my dad's favorite. I put up a dad cooking video a couple days ago....first one in ages. People kept asking me to put up a cooking vid. That looks SOOOO good!!!

  • @dreamer72fem

Yes, I watched it... I was amazed, as I had never heard of tomato gravy.

It does sound good to me :)

  • Mmmmmmmmmm. OMG, so freaking good. I'd never seen breadcrumbs in the meat either and never used them. Interesting. And you are so right - the quality of the cheese, buying GOOD quality cheese (or making your own!) is the key. That looked delicious and wonderful. Well done. By the way, I really like how you explain how to determine things like how much salt or when the onions are done. Beginning cooks need that extra help.

  • @thizizliz

Years ago, I would not taste as I went along.. so I remind people to do that.

Thank you so much Liz :)
